***** Week 3 November 28 to December 4, 2020 - Days 15 to 21 from germination *****
She grew solid through week 2 and is looking good at the start of week 3. Feel like I am struggling to get the lights dialed in this run but its not too far off. Side branching is getting bigger and she is working on her fifth set of leaves at start of week. Main stem is swelling and doing its โsheddingโ appearance. Even though she has not shown signs of being hungry, I have still given her some foliar spray last week as i was giving some to Purple Lemonade. She is not showing burnt tips.......much but I see slight signs so right at her max ppm right now in the 700 range in coco.
Week 3 now so will be stepping up the amount of liquid she is receiving this week and ensure there is sufficient runoff coming off. This is where I am planning on the peat helping the coco and we minimize the pH drift in the next few weeks. No runoff numbers reviewed yet........this week. Increased water and will also be giving her an increased amount of microbes this week as her roots will be more plentiful this week.
Seeing a little excess nitrogen by mid week. Stop foliar spraying her for rest of the week and back down the ppm a bit.
LST is getting close as well. Likely mid week but by end of week we will bend her over and work on those side branches๐๐๐ช
Looking good Fast Buds.......she is strong and seems to be looking for ppm as well๐
Little more daily detail.........
Nov 28/20, Day 15
- 600ml RO water with Sensi CalMag & Vitathrive @ 2ml/L
- 450ppm and 5.7pH
- more of a plain water but since RO added CalMag and added some Vitamin B to keep the stress down.
Nov 29/20, Day 16
- only water misting today.......she is not overly dry and been hitting her a little hard.
- She has been getting foliar spray as well so just going to back off a bit here.
- no nutes today.
Nov 30/20, Day 17
- she is nice and perky this morning so going to give he another dry out day and see how she reacts.
- just going to stay with the plain water misting again today.
- her main stem is getting fairly rigid now......feeling better about LST any day now........would love a little more height first.......
Dec 1/20, Day 18
- 1L RO water with Sensi Grow, Velokelp, CalMag+ @ 1.5ml
- 825ppm and 5.8pH
- kept the feed to the basics for today. Will be adding sweetener and more microbes in next days as well.
- keep an eye on the nitrogen....seeing some clawing.
- back her down to just water for next one or two.
Dec 2/20, Day 19
- 500ml of RO water with Vitathrive @ 1ml, Microbial Mass @ 4ml.
- LST today.......she has been growing nice and is 7" tall so bending her over.
- Her stem was thicker and tougher than it appeared. Didn't get her all the way over.
- Will take a couple of days to get a good bend in her.......keep working the ties.
Dec 3/20, Day 20
- Dry out day.
- The pots are wet and heavier.......give them a chance to dry out more and then give a nice a feed at 5.8pH with good run off numbers.
- Took the LST very well and in only about 4 hours she was back pointing upwards again๐
- She is a strong one!!!๐
Dec 4/20, Day 21
- Another dry out day
- the peat being added to the media mixture is noticeable compared to straight coco coir........the pots are heavier longer.
- Have not been going hard with watering amounts so no run off numbers yet but need to verify next week.
- not worried about ppm, just want to make sure pH has not drifted higher.
She is strong and growing well๐ช๐ She has taken the LST very well and quickly turning up again. She will need to continue to be retied as she grows more.
Nice looking veg so far Fast Buds๐........should start smelling her in a couple of weeks, cant wait๐
Hi @@ALTINPIPO, they are 12L. I am going to give some 5 gal try once my bags are done. Like air pots, I do miss being able to dump a bunch of water in the top though. You have to take your time with hand watering.
Cheers and have an event free week๐๐ช
Thank you for this massively detailed diary. May I ask a question about your lights? I have been following along and find that you are adjusting the lights each week to find the sweet spot. When you are trying to dial in your lights, what are you looking for to let you know that you are close to perfect? Is it a combination of lowing the wattage and lowering/raising? What is your secret light adjustment sauce? I read in the week 5 that you are looking for the leaves to droop a bit if the light is too intense/close. Thanks so much!
Brilliant mate I am Just about to order for first time off fast buds this gives me the boost a need think I will change from the coco to the nutrients you are using this will be my second time doin it keep it up mate
