For this week the ph correction seems to be improving the plants health.
defoliated towards the bottom
removed LST from all plants, Chempie reacted positively from this
changed to the proper sized FloraFlex trays, which covers the top perfectly now.
Made a compost tea with
Nature's Living Soil - Girl Flower Power 2x Tbsp per gallon of water, Molasses 1x Tbsp per gallon of water. Made about 5 gallons which "brewed" for 3 days in a 5 gal bucket w/ airstone.
I put the ingredients in a old stocking my GF had. Worked out well.
I switched the light schedule to 12/12 on 01/30/2021 so next update will be in Flowering.
Added ProCO2 Regular Bucket to tent 02/01/2021 - this should provide a CO2 boost for about 60 days.
As for watering, when I do I use about 2 1/2 gallons of water, then manually feed with the compost tea, about a gallon.
Hey Man! Question on the chempie. I see you topped the main stem. Ripper seeds recommends FIMing this strain. So if I planned on FIMing the main top, will the main stem keep stretching? Or will it stop where I FIM? Just trying to get an idea of how tall it’ll get.
@AccyStoner25, Hey there! I read the Ripper Seeds description recommending FIMing on the Chempie as well. This is my first grow in ~7 years so I can't speak from experience. But from what I read is that Topping/FIMing share similar goals. One of them being having the plant start growing laterally https://herbiesheadshop.com/blog/topping-vs-fimming
I am using Nebula’s Manifold "Main-Lining" https://www.growweedeasy.com/manifold which uses the Topping technique.
Chempie is vigerous for sure, but with Topping or FIMing along with LST she(hopefully) is manageable.
