Planted seeds (12/05/2020) ----------------------
4x 5gal fabric pots.
FoxFarm - Ocean Forest (3 cubic feet) mixed with 5 lb bag of Nature's Living Soil - regular concentrate (not the auto flower one)
1gal water with 1 tsp molasses
Solo-cupped the center, filled with FoxFarm - Happy Frog, watered again without molasses.
Planted seeds
-------------------------------------------------------
Seeds Germinated (12/07/2020) -----------------
All 4 seeds taproot came out today, I was concerned that I was not seeing anything yet - so I went down the center of the pots and found they were too far down.
moved the seedlings back towards the top of the soil - taproot down, hopefully they are ok, and I will see some more progress tomorrow and finish the first week strong.
-------------------------------------------------------
Seedlings (12/10/2020) ----------------------------
The germinated seeds survived the move closer to the top of the soil that I performed on 12/07/2020, and are now seedlings. There was a little bit of a stretch due to high heat temps that I resolved by lowering the heater temperature dial, added 12oz FoxFarm Happy Frog to each pot in an attempt to correct this.
-------------------------------------------------------
Seedlings (12/13/2020) ----------------------------
Skipped two days of watering, moved heater out of the way (not being used at the moment) and moved the pots closer to center.
corrected diary entry for the Tent, it is 36x36x78.

Tent Notes
Strain locations -
Left Top: Chempie
Right Top: OMG
Bottom Left: Gorilla Zkittlez
Bottom Right: Braincake
Lighting:
30% power, 24" Height from pots. 18 on 6 off schedule until Flowering.
Circulation Fans:
Low speed to trigger stronger stem growth
Ventilation:
Intake Fan with Variable Speed module - Dial as low as possible when humidity spikes too high. Run for 10-15 min then turn off.
Honeywell - 360° Surround Heat:
Since germinated seeds do not require 78°F+ temps, lowered to not turn on unless it falls under 65°F
Lessons Learned this week
1. Managing seeds to germination in the 5gal fabric pots is harder, next grow I will start them off in a tray using Peat Pellets, then transplant to pots. I didn't have the lighting for a seed starting location this run. This will resolve the majority of the issues I've encountered.
Seedlings (12/17/2020) ----------------------------
Skipped a couple of days of pictures. Added 12/16/2020 and 12/17/2020
Only thing to note is how vigorous the growth of the Chempie is compared to the other strains, Braincake being the slowest so far to develop.
-------------------------------------------------------
Seedlings (12/18/2020) ----------------------------
Raised light a couple inches to compensate for plant height. Increased power on light to 50%
-------------------------------------------------------
Seedlings (12/19/2020-12/20/2020)--------------
Just added pictures of progress. Tomorrow I will water
-------------------------------------------------------
Seedlings (12/21/2020) ----------------------------
Watered today, noticed tiny winged insects moving / flying around. I am assuming they were Fungus Gnats.
Sprayed some neem oil on surface / around pots then went to store to find a more permanent solution.
Added Pot Elevators under each fabric pot.
Switched the Chempie / Gorilla Zkittles location in tent
Top Left: Gorilla Zkittlez
Bottom Left: Chempie
Provided slight stem support for the Chempie with soft bend wire.
Topped soil with Diatomaceous Earth (organic approved) - probably a bit more than what was needed...
3d Printed some sticky trap prongs and added 1 for each pot.
-------------------------------------------------------
Added pic of 12/22/2020 to finish the week
Starting next weeks diary

Seeing great growth now.
One odd thing is I notice the plants leaves start to droop towards the last 3 hours of light cycle. But spring back up the next day.
I think by the end of next week I'll have enough nodes to begin the manifold method.
(12/30/2020-12/31/2020) ---------------
Notes, nothing special going on besides the plants dropping on the last 3 hours of the light cycle. Still not sure what the problem is. If anyone has any ideas they can see how they look the last 10 min of the light cycle. (12/31/2020 pic)
3D printed a custom model to hold water line in a circle around each plant and xacto knifed small holes in the hose. Incorporated auto watering once a day for 1 minute.

(01/01/2021) --------------------------------
Happy New Year!
Topped the plants today, cleared under growth.
Lowered light back down for the lower canopy height.
Changed automatic watering to 2 min every 24 hours to see how much water comes out. (Mark water bucket line, Mark again after watering, measure how much water it takes to fill back to top line). Will update entry with results.
(01/02/2021) --------------------------------
Increased light power output to 70%
Started to LST Chempie. I'll remove the fan leaves underneath after the plant heals)
Added daily picture.

(01/03/2021) --------------------------------
LST Chempie a little more. Gonna be tough to keep the plant height in range with the other plants

Added LST Spikes that I printed and trained the rest of the plants.
LST'ed Braincake right side too much, had a little bit of a break at the base. Hopefully it will recover.
Topped Chempie above node 3, cleared growth on node 2.
I will wait a couple days to finish topping the rest of the plants.
-------------------------------------------------------
(01/10/2021) ---------------------------------------
Took daily picture
Gorilla Zkittlez seems to be potassium hungry, causing a slight deficiency
Watered the plants manually, the drip system pump doesn't output enough. ~3 gallons used.
-------------------------------------------------------
(01/11/2021-01/12/2021) ---------------------------------------
Missed daily picture for 01/11/2021 ;(
Took daily picture
Gorilla Zkittlez - potassium hungry, need to find a organic way to bring this up.
Braincake - The slight break from LST'ing on (01/09/2021) is almost healed, and the plant is not showing signs of issues on the right side. *whew*
Delaying the final topping for the rest of the plants until tomorrow night.
Update: I topped the rest of the plants tonight, I split the main stem on the OMG a little bit while LSTing too much. Put a little duct tape on it.
Added picture. I am done with the topping to achieve 8 colas, all the hard work is now done :D
I bought a new tent / exhaust fan / lighting - I plan to set everything up Saturday. My next update will be for Veg week 5, which I will create Saturday/Sunday.

(01/17/2021) ---------------------------------------
I probably made more than a few mistakes while doing the manifold / LST - lack of room inside the tent and it being the first time I've done this being the main issue. Next grow should be good.
Plant notes:
Gorilla Zkittles right 3rd node twisted oddly, probably from poor LST
Braincake is odd as well, 2 of the 1st node colas on the left are stunted, and on the right 1st node 1 of the colas is stunted, but the other one is doing well - might end up with only 5 regular colas. Picture showing this added: "Braincake - 01/17/2021 cola stunted growth"
Chempie seems to have recovered and vigorous growth is ramping back up.
OMG is doing well, very tight strong growth - makes me scared to LST, but I will attempt anyway.
Update: I LST'ed the plants - added top view pics of plants.

Strain Locations:
Top Left: Gorilla Zkittlez

Bottom Right: Braincake
Plants aren't do as well as I would have hoped, Gorilla Zkittles showing signs of deficiencies still. Chempie growth severely stunted from poor LST, Braincake has 3 nodes that won't recover, OMG seems to be hanging in there despite all the abuse 😂
I watered today, this time I treated the water with ph down @ 5.6 (it was up to 7.5-8) to see if that was the issue. I am going to give the plants another week and a half before trying to flip to flower, hopefully the ph adjustment will resolve the current issues.
I started another grow in my spare tent, which I will use for germ/veg.
For this week the ph correction seems to be improving the plants health.
defoliated towards the bottom
removed LST from all plants, Chempie reacted positively from this
changed to the proper sized FloraFlex trays, which covers the top perfectly now.
Made a compost tea with
Nature's Living Soil - Girl Flower Power 2x Tbsp per gallon of water, Molasses 1x Tbsp per gallon of water. Made about 5 gallons which "brewed" for 3 days in a 5 gal bucket w/ airstone.
I put the ingredients in a old stocking my GF had. Worked out well.
I switched the light schedule to 12/12 on 01/30/2021 so next update will be in Flowering.
Added ProCO2 Regular Bucket to tent 02/01/2021 - this should provide a CO2 boost for about 60 days.
As for watering, when I do I use about 2 1/2 gallons of water, then manually feed with the compost tea, about a gallon.
Chugging along here, started using Fox Farm Bush Doctor which is OMRI listed Organic Cal mag, and Recharge. Which the Gorilla Zkittles seems to be happy with now. Chempie exploded in growth after removing the LST and higher than any of the other plants which I will need to manage the height of. Sorry for the lack of details, I have been busy with work and life in general
Things are getting exciting with bud sites forming, starting to see the fruits of my labor.
The Bush Doctor Cal-Mag resolved the heavy nutrient deficiency in the Gorilla Zkittles and looking a lot better, I left a few of the leaves that were effected less.
Top dressed pots with Nature's Living Soil - Girl Flower Power. The Nutrient measurements in Grow Diaries don't allow for weight, but I used a half pound in total for 4 pots. Not half lb each...
Added fabric trellis netting to spread the colas apart a little bit since trying to tie them down at this point would be difficult. This is NOT a SCROG. I might change this up if I can find a better way since I don't want buds growing over the trellis strings.
performed what I believe will be my last defoliation until harvest.
I ordered this for my next watering. Shipment is delayed, but going to use both Aloe Vera / Coconut Water in water and see how the Aloe Vera works as a Foliar Spray. So for the next Flowering stage update I will include further information on the mixture I use.

Lessons Learned
Use Cal-Mag around week 3-4 of Veg
Use Recharge from Start to Finish of grow.
Top Dress Girl Flower Power instead of making a tea with it.
Ph down water to 6.2-6.5 from Start to finish - one of the bigger mistakes I made was thinking the soil would be able to handle on it's own.
Don't over use DE, I believe I used way too much, a very light sprinkle would probably be sufficient. Considering I use FloraFlex which covers the top of the pots, I might only use it on the outer radius and a little in the center if needed.
Mixing Sativa heavy strains with Indicas is not a good idea for canopy management. I need to review the strains I pick further to ensure this. I could have Veg'ed a week or two longer if Chempie was not in my tent.
Happy 1st of the month!
Plants are doing alright, bud sites looking good. I am seeing a deficiency in everything but the OMG. This could be from the Aloe / Coconut water I added - so I will stop the usage of Aloe Vera and lower the amount of Coconut powder. Lowering the Ph down to 6.1-6.2 just incase the Ph got too high - I am going to capture some run off for the first time as well (It's watering day). Will update again with results.
While reviewing other peoples flowering entries, I noticed my bud sites seem to be more developed on week 4 than others. Week 5 should be interesting since that's when we should see some fattening up of the buds.
Thanks for checking in.
38th Day of Flowering since I switched to 12/12 on 01/30/2021 so there is about 3 1/2 weeks left give or take a few days.
All the strains are in the 60-65 day flowering range, except the Gorilla Zkittles which is 55-65
Not too much going on for week 5 of flowering. The fungus gnats have become an annoyance again so sprinkled some DE around and put 4 Yellow sticky traps in. I want to explore the usage of Steinernema feltiae (Nematodes) to mitigate the fungus Gnats further, they have a short life span and I've read about people receiving mostly dead nematodes - going to need to find a local source. Since Fox Farms Happy Frog/Ocean Forest is loaded with fungus gnats.
Added a Honeywell TurboForce Air Circulator Personal Fan, HT-900 at the bottom of my tent. Repositioned the small clip on fan on the back right.
Thanks for checking in!
Alright, things are pretty stable here this week. Nematodes killed off all signs of flying gnats in less than a week! Going to start using them early on in future grows as well. Smell is a bit stronger this week as well. Noticing more purple tones on the OMG and Chempie. Gorilla Zkittles is kinda confusing me as the buds are not very big, hopefully they are just dense.
Removed some really yellow fan leaves from the Chempie, I wanted to remove some from the other plants but they were not snapping off and I don't want to risk touching the buds while doing it.
When I finish up this grow I will start another diary where the plants are half-way done with Veg.
Thanks for stopping by!
Not too much going on, didn't use recharge this week. It looks like I might be in flower for an additional week for some of the plants, with Braincake being the first to complete maturing. It's getting warmer out, so I need to research adding a AC unit to the grow room. Temps are being controlled from 80-82F with nights hitting ~68F. Added pics with Strain labels this time.
Thanks,
Almost there, probably gonna chop them down over the weekend. No nutrients used this week.
Looking forward to finishing this grow, and reconfiguring my setup.
Update: 04/02/2021
Harvested, and hung
