Excited for this one! The seed popped in about 12 hours using the paper towel method. I left it about 36 hours before planting in a 5L plastic pot of 100% Biobizz All-Mix, with a little bit of Root Juice to get it started. I used about 10g/L of Dynomyco.
All good! I like this stage. Things change fast and it’s interesting. Took about a day to break the surface of the soil, steady growth since then. Not much else to say!
Nice growth so far: the leaves popped out so heavy overnight on Day 10 that it fell over a bit! Staked it up. Wasn't anticipating topping for another week but good growth, so I thought I'd give it a shot (have FIMed before but never topped, so hopefully it works out). Added Fishmix and Biogrow, will start to phase out the root juice.
Merry Christmas folks. I hope you all find some peace and joy today—thinking of family far away and all those we’ve lost this year. But it’s a beautiful day and that’s not nothing. Next year let’s hope for health, safety, and legalization! L’chaim!
This one is doing great—responded very well to topping last week. No stress yet and good growth! Started minor LST.
Big growth this week! It seems really happy to have been topped. A little light LST and defoliation this week. It’s getting thirstier too—I think it’s both the growth and the fact that I’m using Allmix for the first time, it doesn’t hold onto water in the same way my old medium did. Anyway, happy this week! Close to flowering.
This one has really popped this week! Stretched big time and the pistils have really popped out. A little color variation in the leaves, but I think I'm just too cautious with the nutes since this is my first attempt with All-mix. No big issues yet though and happy to see it growing!
I had a few spots appearing on the leaves so upped the cal mag and Algamic. Seems happier now. Veg growth has pretty much stopped and lovely fine pistils are popping out all over. Pretty pleased!
Great growth this week! Buds are fattening up and loads of lovely fine pistils. Trichromes popping out all over as well. Really pleased with the development this week.
Getting there, getting there. Increased the calmag and algamic since it looked like it needed it. Plenty of bud growth and leaves are starting to die off/yellow. I should have been more aggressive with LST earlier, but I'd wanted to be conservative since I don't have a ton of room in the tent and wasn't sure how big these would get. Smell is getting stronger and pistils are slowly turning orange. No cloudy trichs yet.
Starting to see about 5% amber trichromes. A bit bummed not to see more bud growth or density, but it smells nice! Going to try to leave it at least another week.
Struggling a bit with the nutrients. Up to about 10% amber trichromes. If the nute situation isn’t bad I’ll wait another week or two before harvesting, but if I can’t figure it out I’ll chop.
Just harvested and onto the drying rack (Feb 20). Will check back in once it’s dried and cured.
Feb 23: pretty much dried: jarred up 56g plus trim (which I didn't weigh). I wasn't prepared at all for the juicy mango and sour flavor, not at all what I was expecting! But it's nice and definitely hit hard. Really looking forward to seeing how this develops.
April 1: Should have let this one dry out a bit more before jarring: it's pretty sticky! Some really nice complicated flavors that I'm not really expert enough to ID, but it's still got juicy mango and--maybe herby? Gassy? It's really nice. It's got some good euphoric qualities too. Try this one!
I can’t say this was the easiest to grow, but I definitely learned a lot from this one. I definitely would have done better to reduce the nutes earlier in the grow. I could have held onto it a week longer if I hadn’t struggled, but I was worried about the buds yellowing. Still, it looks like a decent harvest from a 5L pot. I’d also LST more; after topping it was a bit too close together. But even if the nute balance wasn’t quite right, it did pretty well growth wise. I’d definitely try this one again. It's fairly sticky, but isn't the strongest-smelling strain. I suspect it'd respond better to scrogging. This was also my first time using Allmix and I was surprised how much it compacted: especially in a small pot like this I'll overfill next time. Harvested with about 10% amber trichromes, though there was still growth going on lower down the plant.
Looking good. I struggled with the all mix, was to hot for my plants, Yellowing and burning from day one so they were stressed before i even got involved. Its a mixed opinion on the bio biz all mix. Thing is if they are "adding" a lot of nutrients it might not always be the same, some one else dong it every day/scales wrong/or some one that day thought they would do things differently. So gone to light mix then completely in my control and so far already better they love it. But glad it worked out for you!! I had half that prob 1 oz but better than nothing ha. Nice grow buddy. U gained a follow.
@HarezyGreen,
Definitely light mix for the win with autos and young photoperiods, but when your ready to repot a photoperiod plant around week 3/4 use the all mix to fill up your next pot and you have not got to feed it at all antill your flip to flower around 7/8 weeks, only way I’ve been able to use all mix without burning my girls
Growpotkin, thanks for all the info and congrats on a feisty grow.
Can you talk to me a bit about your comments about “reducing the nutes earlier…”
I’m asking what you were referring to as I remain curious about feeding curves for these Ladies as the wire approaches.
All is good, just picking your brain.

@Growpotkin, thanks for getting back to me. There is always something that we stumble-on.
And keep learning. My toes are sore but I’ve got a shit-eatin grin on
Thx again.

@1Right_Angle, thanks very much! With a bunch of my grows I was finding it really hard to strike a good balance with the nutrients. I wasn’t sure always if I was over feeding and causing a lockout or under feeding and seeing deficiencies. It turns out the answer was in two parts: I was massively over feeding and causing lockouts, but I also had fungus flies making it hard for the roots to take up the nutrients. (This was despite following the feeding schedule). So my later grows have been way more successful since I cut the feeding schedule by 50-60%. The plants are way happier and growing faster!
Hello bro, nice crop. Did you not flush your plant before harvest? Wondering as I’m not sure when to flush or if not at all if my plant has any chance of turning out like yours.
@Growpotkin, fair enough, I’m going to try and give it a go as I’m using the biobizz nutes too.
If my plant has any chance of turning out like yours did I’ll be very happy. Cheers for the advice 😎👊🏼
@Mattyboyy, thanks! I don’t flush before harvest; I read a few scientific papers that said there wasn’t a discernible difference in double blind tastings. But other people seem to really strongly believe in it, so who knows? 😂
@SabrinasGrow, oh no! Sorry to hear that. I've found this one to be a bit fussy about nutes, but I'm not really experienced enough to be confident my efforts to fix it actually work! But good luck with yours, hope they feel better soon.
@Growpotkin,
Well done love to see DYNOMYCO in the mix and the amazing results you achieved with your grow!
We trust your roots were happy - the results speak for themselves ;)
Happy Growing ✊
