I took these clones at the end of week two of flowering my last batch. They've revegged and grown back a little bushy and weird. They’re little weirdos. They have survived in less than ideal conditions. A couple have been topped, a couple are showing deficiencies, and they’ve been semi neglected. I will say that Elite 91’s Myco Jordan promoted some monster root growth. Just mad. I forgot to take a pic. Next time around.
This round we’re going to veg for less time and grow more smaller plants. We’ll throw the trellis up a lot earlier this time and we’re growing in all fabric pots except for 1. It’ll be a nice lil side by side. We have a new flower tent showing up soon (we hope!) as soon as it gets in these lil weirdo babies will have a proper home.
That’s about all for this week. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing!
✌️🏼🌱🙏🏼
Nice week of growth and development. We’re not really doing much to them right now except letting them grow. We’ll veg another week, do a little LST and defoliate on the day we flip.
We switched light from a 24hr cycle to a 17/7.
At the end of our last batch we had fungus gnats and what looked like mites, yikes. We’ve cleaned our space thoroughly and we are going to take an aggressive approach to prevention. We’ve started a pest management routine. In addition to constant cleaning and an unhealthy sense of paranoia, we’ll be spraying a different foliar every week until bud formation becomes too developed. This week was Bronner’s. Next week will be neem oil.
A couple of these revegged clones have bud sites and trichome development already/leftover even though they’ve been mostly under 24hr light up til this week. We’re interested to see how they stack compared to the original clones.
As previously noted, some have been topped. Some have not. We’re looking to see which types of training/stress work best with this plant. Our last batch was heavily trained/tied. We’re taking a slightly more hands off approach this time. We’ll use trellis to create a full canopy which should not be difficult given how many plants there are. We will not do any tying down. We’ll also only defoliate/lollipop on the day of flip and two weeks after. Not much else.
12/20: temp and humidity are holding. These thirsty little ladies took some more water today which we were not expecting. Lots of new growth; makes sense.
12/21: today was IPM day. We sprayed with neem oil. 75° and 50% rh
That’s it for this week. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! ✌️🏼🙏🏼🌳💨
Fed mostly just plain water this week. A couple are showing what looks like excess nitrogen and I believe I’ve been over watering. I recently started using fabric pots and I’m having a hard time gauging when they need more.
I’m backing off for a bit on a couple of them.
That said, a few are really thriving and looking amazing. I’ll go at least one more week til I flip. Maybe more . . .
Thanks for stopping by and happy growing!
🌱✌️🏼
We flipped last night and today is the first day of flowering. Things are looking good for the most part. A couple of the plants had a fair amount of yellowing that was a little strange given that they’ve had the exact treatment of the others until we realized that we had mistakenly snapped rather large stems on both 🤦♂️🏻
Anywho, lollipopped and gave them a round of nutrients. We also left all of the trimmings on soil surface for a little extra organic matter. We’ll do another round in two weeks and that should be it til they’re done.
We’ll do one or more rounds of IPM. This week was Dawn. We’ll cycle back to Bronners next week.
We’ll take these ladies 55 days+ putting our estimated harvest at or after 2/26 🤞🏼
That’s it for this week. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! 🌱🙏🏼✌️🏼
Nice amount of growth this week. They stretched, we pinched, and the canopy filled out.
The plants that were previously struggling have turned the corner.
We’ll keep pinching and clean up the undergrowth at the end of the week.
We’re going to do a top dressing and compost tea at the end of this week.
That’s all for this week. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! ✌️🏼🌱
Most of these plants are cracking off. One in particular is showing exceptional structure and vigor. She’s getting nice and tall and has really big, broad, beautiful dark green fan leaves. Shes also stacking at what appear to be excellent intervals. She’s a real looker.
We added beneficial nematodes earlier in the week and we haven’t seen any fungus gnats in the garden since a couple days after application.
We also top dressed with compost and worm castings and white clover seed two days ago. We watered with recharge, fish shit, molasses, kelp meal. We didn’t water yesterday and they were ready for more at sunrise today. Thirsty girls. Our next watering will be with compost tea the day after tomorrow.
A couple plants are showing what appear to a nitrogen deficiency. I’m hoping that the top dressing helps balance them back out.
We also started a bokashi kit this week. We’re pumped to start cooking and recycling our own soil.
That’s it for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱
Day 22
There is a hulkster in the mix. It is pushing out tall frosty rockets and remains in good health. Although this just like all of the others in this run is a clone, this particular plant is growing with greater vigor than any of the others including its parent. I don’t know exactly why but I am certainly pumped.
The plants that were deficient before have turned around and are continuing to push out green new growth and very purple (I assume because of stress) bud sites. They still have a lot of yellow leaves because I’m choosing to not defoliate the damaged stressed growth. I’m hoping that they’ll still push out good looking nugs despite the tough times.
The other people plants are looking like the parent plants. They’re bushy and green with consistent lightly purpled colas that fill the canopy.
That’s the report for this week.
Thanks for cruising along and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱
Day 28
Fall colors are coming in heavy. It’s a little early for that as we’ve got ~30 days left, but we’re rolling with it.
The hulkster is continuing to stack. I can’t wait to see how big these colas get. She is starting to lean. She might need more support.
That Venom OG nose is coming in strong now and the trichomes are building up. We even found an iced out calyx all by itself on a mid level node (check the photos).
I should note that we didn’t give the plants any bottled nutrients outside of a little armorSI and cal mag during veg. We only top dressed during week 4 and did a couple compost teas and some recharge. Besides that we’ve only used fish shit and kelp meal and whatever was in the soil mix (which is soil king big rootz and it’s full of awesome stuff). We stressed them out a ton along the way and we’re super happy with where they are at all things considered.
Everything is coming right along. Yippy kayay
Thanks for cruisin and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱
Day 34
Beautiful coloration all around. Everything is frosting up. Some of the more stressed plants are not really stacking as well. We took them to the limit and now we know where that is. All of the new growth is looking much healthier but here we are just a few weeks from harvest so we’ll chalk it up to experience.
The Big plant looks wonderful. It is so frosty and chunky. Beautiful! These nugs are gorgeous. Can’t wait 😜
Environment has been dialed. We’re watering every 2-3 days. The garden is in rhythm.
That’s the report for this week.
Thanks for cruising and happy growing! ✌️🏼🌱
Day 41
Heading into the end of the run. We’ll start drying out the room and cooling off on Friday.
The colors have not stopped and we like that very much.
Fragrance, trichomes, weight have continued to increase. We’re looking forward to chopping this run. We are hobbling over the finish line. I prepped this soil with bottle nutrients in mind but decided to not add any after the horse was out of the barn. We are living with the consequences of that call.
Weight will be lower for sure. Hopefully smoke quality is still high. The density is still there but the size is not with most plants. The terpene profile is different than I remember from last run with bottled nutrients. They smell sweeter and less fuelly this time around. Looking forward to sampling that smoke!
That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruisin and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱
We’re a week from chop as of Friday.
Spider mites took over a plant that we chopped early. We’ll salvage what we can from the plant. It’s hanging and drying away from the garden.
We introduced some predators a while back but they weren’t enough to save the plant at ground zero. We’re just over a week away from chop and we’re hoping to squeak by without additional casualties.
Everyone else looks to be on track. Every plant is pushing out new growth and ripening quickly.
I’m looking forward to chopping, cleaning and getting on with the next chapter.
That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱
Chopped a couple days early as I didn’t want to risk losing anything to spider mites. Everything is hanging and drying and smelling great.
I’ll post back with weight and trimmed photos in about a week.
Looking forward to cleaning the tent and getting ready for the next round!
That’s the report for this week. Thanks for cruising and happy growing ✌️🏼🌱
Decent harvest given the circumstances. The quality (smell taste color and high) is excellent.
I’ll be turning all of the trim to bubble hash. I’ll report back with my process and what we get out of it.
That’s the skinny this time around. Wish it were a fatty but hey, there’s always next time.
Thanks for cruising and happy growing 🌱✌️🏼
