Hello everyone,I'm back with another diary, including three legendary ACE Seeds strains. This time of the year is grow season for me. 3 premium quality sativas in full coco, feeding Plagron.I have high hopes in these ones.ACE never disappoints and this time I think I'll have exceptional quality weed if everything goes well.Long story short, here are links to the strains :
Golden Tiger : https://www.aceseeds.org/en/golden-tiger-fem.html
Congo : https://www.aceseeds.org/en/congofem.html
Killer A5 Haze : https://www.aceseeds.org/en/killera5hazefem.html
Some of you might already know about these strains.Golden Tiger is a cross between Thai and Malawi sativas which sounds amazing.Congo is my favorite from ACE so far, truly exceptional weed with top notch arome and effects. And Killer A5 Haze...you know when a breeder like ACE describes it like this, all you have to do is to buy some and try it out :
👉 Extraordinarily powerful, complex, profound and long lasting. Psychedelic beginning that completely changes visual, auditory and tactile perception, catapulting the psyche to new dimensions where there seems to be no tangible reality. As the effect develops, it produces an uncontrollable hilarity, later becoming more introspective and physical, producing strong dissociation of mind and body, and a strong final narcosis similar to opiates. Recommended only for the most intrepid and experienced psychonauts. It can cause panic and/or complete physical debilitation to users with low tolerance or without experience with strong sativas of this caliber. Nothing will be ever the same after trying Killer A5 Haze. 👈
Now,let's go,it'll be a quite long journey but I bet it will be worth it.Nothing feels better than a good winter grow which in the end gives you rock hard buds with high quality effects.
just a little bit of heat stress
and mainly root establishment.
but still, nodes growing bigger every day
Congo is thick! They all don't need any support, stems are strong!
Hello!
A5 looks droopy this week.I found out it was a reaction to LST.Nothing serious here, it'll straighten up quick when it gets that I'm trying to put it in shape.lol
Tiger is the biggest girl there.Wide open structure with huge leaves.Reacts very well to LST
Congo is so thick that I didn't want to bend it.You see it spends energy into making strong branches.
I started giving silica so that they produce strong branches.
All is well.Stay tuned.
Wish you a happy christmas fam 🙌
Hello, this is the first day of 2021,we are 1 hour into new year here,I wish you a happy and succesful year.
One thing about these 3 I forgot to mention last update : You know a plant has 1 finger leaf, then 3 finger leaf, then 5,then 7,then 9 etc. These plants basically skipped the 5 finger part and jumped from 3 to 7, which got me surprised as I've seen this for the first time.Very vigorous plants, joyful growth, healthy look, strong and crowded side branching.Everything I would want from a sativa.
Congo is N sensitive,as always... I reduced the dosage of nitrogen and keeping it at 0.5ml/lt for Congo. One feeding with only calmag, fulvic and rhino skin, other feeding with all of them + Cocos AB at 0.5ml/lt. This makes all the possible salt residue in coco to be washed out as well.I did this for a week.
Golden Tiger showed some clawing too but completely forgot about it after I drop down N for her to 1ml/lt.Eats better than Congo but not that much in veg. Both reacted well.
A5 eats without problem. 1.5ml/lt is for her.
I topped all of them at week 4, continued bending (bending never stops)
Tiger and Congo already showing female preflowers. One more week in veg and switch!
At week 5,they found their characteristics and started to reflect it. With help of LST and HST, I created a fine canopy under both lights.I'm not increasing feeding as them sativas don't require too much feeding in vegetation.Fulvic Acid and Rhino Skin are extras doing their job well.
Last week of vegetation.
First week of flowering.I did some defoliation, not too much. 11/13 to trigger flowering fast because these sativas will stretch a lot and take some time.
Let's speed it up. They are growing well at the moment. No deficiencies,no toxicity.I keep supercropping some branches. 1.5ml/lt cocos AB , Congo takes 1ml from A bottle because it is N sensitive...Last week for silica.3lt of tap water every other day.All looking healthy,I don't know what to say.
Congo wants more K ... It also doesn't want N ... I'm now giving her more cocos B ... Leaves praying,buds coming ...
I think praying leaves sometimes means the plant has energy to do its business but with showing some deficiency signs, just to make sure it gets good amount of bloom nutrients for further phases.
Golden Tiger has more pistils than A5.They grow big. I keep HST'ing them both...
The most challenging phase just started.I'll have to do some serious maintenance every week from now on as they are stretching higher and wider.
everything is going well.congo is in flowering mode.I see potassium deficiency in it and upped the cocos B to 2ml/lt for her.A5 and Golden Tiger are getting taller and wider.Boring I know but we are about to see some serious bud development.
Congo is ahead of others.Producing spear-like colas, smell is already there. It is what I had in my first run with it; grapes and tropic flowers.
A5 stretched a lot this week, just like Golden Tiger. Both are stretching at an incredible pace,I have to do maintenance every 3 days, raising the lights and tying branches to opposite direction.
Golden Tiger has too many bud sites that I think will grow very big.
A5 is taking her time apparently before fully focusing on buds.
Green Sensation is for Congo as it is already producing buds.Others are not getting it yet.
Congo's potassium hunger seemed to slowed down after I upped Cocos B for it.It might be because I gave too much sugar royal in the main part of stretch.Caused N abundance in it and Congo doesn't like it. But she has 14 finger leaves!!! growing 14th finger from the middle of the leaf.I think I have a photo but couldn't find.
Congo and A5 both are taking calmag at 1.5 ml/lt.
Less photos of Golden Tiger as it is stuck between A5,Congo and auto GSC and is covering almost all growing space.Sorry for that.
We are growing a forest here, dealing with sativas is a pleasure although it requires special attention for their size and needs.
See you next update
Sugar Royal every 3 days, 3ml Cocos B for Congo , 2.5ml Cocos B for A5 & Golden Tiger
A5 smells like sharp citrus, wood and liver.
Tiger's smell is weak at the moment but it is like perfumes.
Congo smells like a very enjoyable holiday, like a garden of sweet, tropical fruits and grapes/berries.Delicious!
We've spent 2 hours to move and turn around the Golden Tiger and tie the branches to the bars.It was in a falling position but stoner physics worked out again.
No night shots this week.
I did a 40lt flush on Congo, runoff hardly drops. It will continue in next weeks.Congo can't eat well all the time but it always needs food, this strain is just amazing. There is a lot of nutes left in coco as a result.Lovely odor.
A5 is bulking up crazy just like Golden Tiger.
Tell me which one is your favorite so far.
Cheers
Killer A5 Haze Bulked up in the last phase, full milky trichomes, drinking from leaves since flush started, samples smoked smooth, definitely ready for harvest.
Golden Tiger has 2 more weeks.Leaves are showing signs of a coming harvest.
This part for growers :
I'm not sure about the pheno.I think this is A5 Haze pheno but there might be a good amount of Malawi in it as well,it feels very narcotic.
Yielded 245gr under 250w HPS.
Ate well all the way through, ate really well , grew huge with fist size colas , started slow but thrived after roots were settled. All training I've done on it worked,it took them well.Stretch continued until 6th week of flowering.Abusive use of sugar royal by me created some nitrogen overload but it simply didn't care and kept on growing. It reacted very quick to my feeding alterations.Aggressively growing strain, might need calcium in flowering but other than that it was very helpful to me.Except its size... Stretches non stop, especially between week 4 and 6 of flowering. It was about 2.20m at the end.Ripening phase was a joy to watch, damn colas almost doubled in size in the last 20 days.
One thing I liked about this strain is that it is prone to genetic mutations and I talked to growers who had the same. One example is that leaf with some callyxes in the middle.
I found 2 branches with polyploidsm on it , one was the biggest yielding branch, other one was a small branch.
All branches needed support.
It requires maintenance and time but brings dope flowers and great yields. Also prepare your nutrient bottles, eats a lot!
Seed was 18€ , pricey for a single seed but is worth every cent in my opinion.
Buy some and try it out.
Thanks a lot for following and please stay tuned for the next update. 👊
The day I was going to harvest Killer A5, an accident happened, a reflector fell right onto the Golden Tiger.Lights were off when this happened, fortunately. It was a true mess..I cut down A5 immediately and spent an hour again on GT to fix it into a new position.None of the branches was broken off but most were accidentally supercropped.Strong branching paid off.Plant was sticky af.Zoom in a bud photo and you'll see.Stoner geometry was needed to remove all those ropes and tie again!!! I reduced light hours to 10/14 for final week. Leaves are already yellowing well so there won't be a need for flush.
Smells like flowers and mandarine. But not a very significant scent.Like a light perfume.
The seed was the latest to emerge. This plant grew like reeds.Very big genetics, very big yields,50/50 thai pheno reflowered a lot and filled in elegantly. It had perfume, mandarin scent all the way through flowering but wasn't very strong. It takes a lot of space and time, you witnessed it just like me. Good thing was that it didn't have any problems. It was an incredibly strong plant with super strong also flexible branches.I fed it abundantly in flowering,no problem.A strain that only aims for growing like a monster.True sativa experience.
This was a great story.Bringing this plant to a succesful end felt like reaching next level in growing.I'm happy with the result.I aimed for yield and quality and did get the both.
And this was the craziest plant I've grown in my career. We've had several maintenance sessions for it, hours spent tying and supporting branches.God must have thought it was not enough maintenance that lights fell on it a week before harvest. It survived. 10/14 helped it ripen faster in last 8 days , it was chopped with all milky trichomes.
Trimming was damn too hard. There was only long branches filled with buds.
This gigantic sativa definitely deserves respect and respects you in return.
To my people who've been following this diary for months, thank you all. It was a pleasure for me. Sorry for the delay because I wanted to be sure about effects.
I'm removing Congo from diary as it didn't turn out as expected but was still ok with 115gr dry buds.High and taste were not satisfying this time.Gotta grow it again on 12/12 with organic nutes.
keep yourself alive. 👊👊👊
