Those beans seem quite special since the germinating phase! Put 5 in easy start, two went out 48hrs later, other two 1 week later! and last one started to open but then gave up. For two of them I had to remove the shell, too hard! They may have succeeded in breaking it but didn't want to take risks. Then once in the soil everything went fine for three of them but one decided she doesn't want to play the game! It was the one I called the snake. Maybe I broke the root when transplanting her as it's shape was unusual and not easy to bury! I'll investigate tonight or tomorrow to see if I can find why. Natural selection at it's finest! Usually I select three out of five but now I have only three left so I hope they have good genetics!! So with one week difference I will have to adapt a bit the feeding so that it suits everybody. Will be interesting to see if the late one catches up. Thanks to anybody that will follow along and see you next week!

Those little bananas seem to be fine! I took off the lower pairs of branches on the two older ones coz the internode was way too short. I also started to train the main stem by rotating it. I'm done with overlapping branches!! So I find that the easiest way to solve the problem is to twist the stem between every pair of branches. You can see the result in the last pic. The fan leaves aren't perpendicular anymore. As I will keep only 4 pairs of branches I want each pair to be at a 45° angle from the one under instead of 90°. Seems to work fine as they really keep that angle. In two weeks they will be transplanted into their 9L final airpot.

So, school time everyone!! Wanna see a nice P deficiency? Here it is! Plant #3 starting a serious P deficiency. Confirmed by the EC value of the runoff @850ppm. I don't know what the hell I was thinking about when I made the feeding chart but I really messed up! I made it considering this strain was an auto and not considering at all the fact that it is 70% Indica... So they received half of the nutes they needed. Also I usually transplant on week 4 but really didn't have time to do it so this did't help with the deficiency. Any way, I corrected the feed chart and they should slowly recover. I don't want to boost them too much so I expect one or two more weeks of slowed down growth. I'll be transplanting them next week which should help the recovery. I'm so sorry to have stunned those little bananas but it will be a nice challenge to bring them back on track...

Plants are slowly healing, finally found time for transplanting. They should quickly recover in their new pots. What I can't figure out is if this severe deficiency at this stage could bring hermaphroditism or another issue later in flo? Will see!

Finally the bananas seem to have recovered and start growing again. Stupidly didn't lower the nutes for the first feed after transplanting so you can see very slight N toxicity looking at the tip of the leaves but nothing serious, as I am typing they already went back to normal. Whet I'm asking myself right now is when should I top them. I will keep only the 4 first pairs of branches. I might wait one more week before topping I guess. Also had to move away the light as my vpd is a bit high. So almost back to normal program now!

This week the ladies are officially back to business. New growth are healthy and fan leaves are fat! Back to normal feeding. I think I lost around 4 weeks in that mess but now i can start the training. See you next week!

Hi all! Been away for quite a long time guys! Sorry for the lack of updates! So we are in the training period now. The plants where such in good shape I decided to stick to the initial plans by keeping only the first four pairs of branches. Yes, the ones that suffered more from the deficiency... So I end up with quite weird plants that have different sized branches and that aren't in the same exact period of life... but it's gonna be ok 😉

Hi guys! I feel very sorry I can't manage to update my diary more often but here we go! The ladies are fine even if I couldn't shape them exactly as I wanted because of the weird start and also because I couldn't use my lst gear as planned. I miss some elements and I had to improvise a bit. Anyway they are in the fourth week of bloom now, the stretch is over and the buds are starting to cristallise nicely. I plan a big defo this w-e to allow more light through the canopy. I estimated a loss of four week on the planning so in the feed chart I consider being at week 12. They are quite hungry I would say, with the very high temps of the past weeks I have to water them every day and they will take nutes every watering no problem!! Also I will re-calibrate the white balance of my camera coz the colors are not completely realistic, too blueish... Thanks for following! See you sooner... or later! 😅

Hi all! While the buds are nicely fattening up, here comes the first defo! The ladies have been under huge heat stress this last weeks but the weather has finally decided to be a bit cooler so let's hope we don't get back to 30+ degres in the box till the end! I'll do a last defo in aprox two weeks. And sorry for the blurry pics, I relied too much on the auto focus. Cya soon

So sorry I haven't been really painstaking for this extra long diary but here we are, almost finished! Those pics where taken the week before harvest and the ladies have been on flush mode for two weeks now. Fading takes time and it seems they want to keep on doing their thing, but guys, 22 weeks... I need some change... 😅 Anyway they are very close to finish, I'll maybe wait till the end of next week to chop them down! I would say I'm quite happy with the results knowing the terrible start they had and the extremely high temps during flowering. The yield won't be in the records but the buds are dense and nicely frosty. The smell is very nice, fruity, bananish and consistent through the three plants. Can't wait to taste the curred buds! Cya next week!

Wow!! I'm very impressed by those tough ladies! They went through many issue and still finished super frosty and super smelly! Can't wait to vape them! Hope I can do a vape report by the end of the month but I'll probably cure them a bit longer than that before vaping them! Vape test update! At first I really wasn't impressed by this strain's smell straight after drying. Couldn't really notice that banana flavor. But once cured for more than a month now... WOOWOWOWOW!!!! Every jar opening is a real blast!! Super intense tropical fruit smell!! Even too strong sometimes, just like when you receive a box of bananas still in their plastic bag for maturation and you open it! Then when you let a bud sit there a few moments you can feel the more fresh smell of a single ripe banana. Very very mouth watering. As you can see in the pics this strains turns out to be very frosty, top of the list regarding trichome production! So you can imagine how powerful the high can be... when I vape at high temps directly (around 180°C/356°F) without doing the first temp steps (I usually start at 140°C/280°F) I got hit in the face quite hard and my eyes instantly shut down!! Meanwhile my mouth is coated with intense fruit taste! This strain is slowly but surely becoming one of the top I grew so far! Really enjoying it every day! But definitely not a daytime smoke unless you don't need to do many things... Nailed it once again RQS!!

What a journey guys! I had hard times saving those babies at first but then, after a looonng period of time they turned out very well! Quantity is not the highest but quality surely is!! Thanks to all for your support and I can only encourage you to give this strain a try, really worth it!! See you all soon for a new diary!!

As long as her issues are fixed and she's given a bit of time to recover before being flipped to flower then there shouldn't be any herm issues mate (not from stress in veg, anyway). Happy growing! ✌️🐺

@TheFoxFarmer, That is an interesting point you make, FF. For those who don't know this already. Some growers use stress, most notably root bound stress, to initiate early sexing. Stress propagates pre flowers not hermies in vege. as you say. I haven't consciously tried this technique yet, myself. Next run perhaps. Happy growing.

@biggreens420, thanks mate! Yes I think they are back to normal growth now so I will start training them. To keep things difficult I will still keep only the four first nodes and see what I can do with them. Stay tuned! Love your bananas btw!

interesting .... Question mate, I found your diary in instragram and I was wondering what the "nuts on watering" means. you give about 2ml of biobloom every day with the watering :o ? Im having serious issues with my Dinamed (yellow leaves) and I dont want to mess up with the overfeed :( . Let me know !

What’s this banana smell coming from? Oh...... is that really you, bro? What a lovely harvest!!!!! Another kickass run, boom! Your branch-helpers are working very well, what a structure. Not so long before I ask you for some of them hehehe. Buds look yummy and frosty, as well as fat. Nice! Now I’m just waiting for a proper smoke test. Congrats brother, it’s good to see how much love you put on your babies. It’s not for everyone, but you just rock on this!!!!
