Welcome back to my Creme Brulee grow! We've made it into week 9, which is great considering the problems she had, but we're almost there!
Day 56: Height 46"
So after some pretty full on soil testing last week where I discovered her PPMs in the runoff were pretty high, I've decided that the deficiencies she has been showing were down to overfeeding and causing nutrient lockout. I'm fairly sure she was suffering from a Potassium deficiency, as well as Phosphorous and possibly Calcium too. Sadly I only invested in a pen to read PPM in my runoff during these problems, so was slow to realise this, but hey, we learn for the future right? In response, I lowered all nutrients slightly and gave her a couple of small, once a week calmag doses and she seems to have actually bounced back okay. Lets be real, she isn't going to win any beauty contests, she's the ugliest son of a bitch I have ever grown, but she's still packing on weight and judging by the trichomes and pistils, she still has two weeks left in her. Her main stem is a good size right now already and even her side stems looking decent, so I think for all the troubles she had, she's going to pay back the effort to fix her.
I'm still feeding calmag at a dose of 1ml/l but only once per week. She gets watered maybe twice a week, so more or less I'm alternating the nutrients right now. I'll begin to dial back all nutrients this week anyway, in prep for a short flush before the big chop.
@MrHightimes, Cheers man! I've not got any experience with this strain at all, so I'm quite looking forward to seeing how she goes. The random freebies are sometimes the most fun!
@OneDropOfTHC, Thanks a lot man! Absolutely, I try and look at every grow as a learning experience right now, so the easiest ones are not always the best from that perspective!
