Reviews. Nutrient
Didn't love it - but I didn't really know what I was doing. My plants suffered Nitrogen deficiency when I was just using Green Planet.
This worked well. But I'd rather have the Advanced Nutrients PH balanced nutrients.

I don't have anything to compare it to, but it worked fine.

I was super happy when I smoked my first joint (just some leftover leaves) and got high. It works! Can't wait to try the buds. Everything's drying now, and then I'll cure it. I'll update this info when I jar it.

Is it okay to plant the germinated seeds in soil that has a pH of 7 (Promix HP Mycorrhizae)?

Hi ! Succes!🌱

My soil pH levels are high - just over 7. My tap water is also high - over 7. I have a bottle of pH Down but I've never used it. Do I just add a bit to the tap water and water them? Or should I wait till the next time I'm adding nutrients? How much should I add? Thanks!

So I assume you have a Ph meter as you know the level of your water. Whether you are watering with just the water or with nutes added, you can add Ph down to the solution and mix it in before watering your plants. Word of warning, Ph down is acid and is some strong shit so please try not to get any on your bare skin and if you do, wash your hands immediately. So in line with that, only add a tiny amount to your water, mix it well and test the Ph level. If you need to add a drop more to get to your desired number, then do so. But as I say, just a drop at a time as it is very strong and will bring a Ph down quickly. It is always easy to add more if you need to, but impossible to take out if you put too much in. Drops my dude, drops!!!!!

My pH is high (over 7) in both my soil and water. Should I adjust the water/nutrients to the target level for the plant (6.5) or should I adjust it lower to bring it down faster? (BTW thanks to everyone who has answered my questions so far. It really helps.

If your ph is over 7.0 you need to go a little under 6.5 you need be at more like 6.0 that way it will lower the overall ph to around 6.5 which will be perfect. Just remember to keep your ph between 6.0-6.5 and things will fine.

Hey there Zoomer, usually the soil will itself buffer the pH to 6.5 because of the life inside the soil itself. Check your water on the way out of the soil also, just to make sure. I'm a big fan of "if it's not broken dont fix it" but if you do fix your pH to 6.5 do it gradually, rather than quick to avoid pH fluctuations. By the way , you should know what the pH of rainwater is if you really want to understand what you're doing. From your pictures what I can see is that you need cal mag and bloom nutrients as soon as possible. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Is this nitrogen deficiency? I've been feeding them and using pH Down but nothing changes (pH 7.2). Should I replace the soil? They're in CannaTerra mixed with Promix. I've got some FoxFarm Ocean I could move them to.

As long as the soil is above 5.5 and below pH 7.5, true nutrient "lock out" will not occur and growing in soil anywhere from 6.5 to 7.2 is fine. Trying to remove soil and replanting them into different soil would cause so much stress to your plants, that they might just stop growing all together. Ask me how I know! They definitely won't like it and you are much better leaving them as is and working on a slow recovery process, as trying to achieve a "quick fix" will undoubtedly cause more or worse problems than if you had just left them alone. Most of the products you are using for feeding your plants are basically supplements and not fertilizers/complete nutrients in the true sense, Rezin is a "enhancer" with no N/P/K. Ocean Magic is another supplement with no nitrogen or potassium, just phosphorous at 5%. Pro-Cal is obviously a cal/mag supplement, at 1.5 and 0.5% respectively and 2.0% nitrogen and no potassium or phosphorous. Medi one is your only real fertilizer, but at 4/3/3, it isn't going to set the world on fire. Even mixing these you end up with a N/P/K ratio of 6/8/3 which is no where near enough potassium, adequate phosphorous and nearly adequate nitrogen. I would be looking to add a product with a touch more nitrogen, a good supply of trace elements and a lot more potassium, something like GP3 from the same manufacturer of what you already have or go through the list of Green Planets' "base nutrients" and you should find a product that will help your plants thrive, "Back Country Blend-Grow" being another that may help. So, leave your soil as it is now, there is no easy or fast way of reducing pH without stressing your plants and give them some extra base nutrients and they should pick up soon enough. Oh, a bit more water too, they look a bit thirsty to me. Watering deeply to run off will help prevent nutrient salts from building up in the soil to toxic levels and your plants need an evenly moist substrate for good root development. It is far better to deep water once in a while and let the soil dry out again before deep watering again, than it is to give little/medium water frequently. Also, water your pots from edge to edge and not just in the middle, the roots will want to be at the edges. Re-water once the top inch or so has dried out. Try to have an evenly moist soil, not too dry and not too wet. It is a bit of a learning curve, but once mastered, will be easy to understand. Hope this helps,......... Organoman.

How do you know when it's time to switch from veg to bloom? Mine germinated 8 weeks ago, but they had a bit of a rough start in life, so I don't mind giving them more time in veg. But is there some way of knowing when it's time? And is it possible to wait too long?

Unless you have a vertical setup or are doing some training, it usually doesn't make sense to go past 4 weeks in veg. I found this out on my most recent grow. They got to about 3 and a half feet tall, but the usable bud would have been close to the same because you're getting similar light penetration either way. I probably got some extra popcorn nugs out of it, which wasn't worth the extra 3 weeks I gave them in veg.

A lot of growers will say anytime after the first 3 weeks... I say it depends on your setup... plants will double in height and possibly some strains can triple in height. I do HST (high stress training0 and usually switch them when they're about 20 to 24 inches. Happy Growing! 👉😁👈

The leaves on one of my plants (Astrid) are curling down and under. Her leaves are also smaller. The other plants are fine. They're all White Widow and they've all grown under the same conditions. What's wrong with Astrid? What does she want?

Do u have some times in your tent where the heat rises over 30 Celsius? I agree could be slightly too much nitrogen. Its not at toxicity level yet tho. I only comment bc i had this issue in my tent. I really over did the nitrogen tho. My leaves went shiny and dark green and purply. I also had the curled fan leaves but i think that was from too much heat for too long as i was figuring out my heating cooling system and how to control it. But u know what? I still got great bud and a decent amount of it too for a first grow. Hope this info helps. Good luck the rest of the way. i think your plants look great and even if they didnt, its incredible how they recover after the abuse we put them through

Looks like maybe overwater/excess nitrogen, or may be both. Your room temps/humidity look solid, so not sure what else it would be.

Hey zoomer! I just finished my diary with the same crop king white widow grown in promix hp using the same nutes.. we even have the same fans lol only difference is the light. I had some real nutrient and ph problems with the widow for most of its early life and what I found worked best was feeding at 6.0ph and letting it drift up so it gets the full range of nutrient absorption. Also were very prone to calcium deficiency so 3-4ml/g of calmag was essential, keeping in mind im using RO water, your tap water may be higher in calcium already so its possible to use less. For watering the best results I had was whenever the pots are nearly fully dried out and lightweight id water to 20% runoff. They usually took 3-5 days to fully dry out but some dry time is good for them as the roots eat up oxygen. I wanna see some big buds at the end of this diary zoom! Goodluck.

@CRiSPrGrow, I did buy and add Pro-Cal like you suggested. (But I didn't add Bloom because I wasn't sure what it was, and they're still in veg.) I'll give one of them enough water to get some run-off and I'll test it. Thank you.

@Zoomer, try my advice first , since you didn’t follow it it got worse , but nothing else changed so my advice is still the same , does that make sense ?

Hey zoomer, I'd cut the flora gro down to 1ml/g for the rest of the grow. what your seeing there is nitrogen toxicity. I use this feed chart as a guide and go no higher than 75% what it suggests. https://www.sensigarden.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/GH-Flora-series-drain-to-waste.jpg

You got it this time Zoomer! if you're bored check out "from seed to stoned" video for germination on youtube. If you don't have a dome he's got a nifty little trick where he pops a sandwich bag or a clear plastic cup over the seedling to get the same high humidity effect as a dome. it may help. Goodluck!
