This plant is really one of my favourites. It is responding extremely well to topping at most cut sites. And always appears to want to go the extra step further.
I am interested, now I have stopped topping, to see how this progresses. I have also managed to gain a few clones from it. 😅😊
Really good results again, more feed through phosphorus and LST will bring out rhe potential in this plant. Just waiting a bit further for more growth and LST as we progress that bit further. Great plant!
This week she has been growing rapidly. I am constantly defoliating because she grows another leaf the next day which blocks the bud sites...
At the moment I am just spacing her out a bit to ensure there will be enough airation between each cola sites. Lighting has began to gradually reduce to 15 hours as well as spraying the leaves with flower karma induction.
This phosphorus is paying off so far...
This plant I have no concerns for, apart from her pushing the tent pegs up and resisting against LST 😂 She is a monster to be, that's for sure.
I have amended the lighting to 12/12 and so should start to see flower induction shortly.
This week, during the flowering window, I have given support to each cola with the use of small canes and have spaced them out somewhat to ensure air flow.
Great results as expected from this plant, it is shooting up and has given me 3 clones so far. Really good results, here's to the flowering window!
This plant is growing and stretching whilst adapting to the flowering stage. More pistols and hairs are developing on the plants cola sites and it is becoming more busier. Defoliation is performed to ensure adequate light is reaching all bud sites.
All is well so far.
This week unfortunately the fan stopped working in the grow room. Not sure how long but the temperatures increased to 38 and no ventilation was given so therefore leaves burnt, I only noticed when I could smell a grass burn smell and I went to check. After monitoring it for a few days I am happy to see that it has recovered well and more pistols are growing. It looks much better than it did. Nutrients in addition to help aid stress was lacalva stress by madame grow and bat guano by vitalink.
We will learn!!
This week i thought I would spruce things up a bit by performing the ScrOG technique to increase yields.
It has reacted really well to the new technique and is the first plant I have applied it to. Looking well so far
I am constantly feed this girl and she constantly shows signs of nitrogen/magnesium deficiency. She is a feeding machine. I am going to try and up it somewhat as she is showing more defficency. Never the less she is coping well, still recovering from leaf burn but everything appears to be OK at this minute.
This week the plant, I think, has gone into lockout mode. Therefore I have flushed all nutrients, the pH was 6.5. Since then, I think everything has improved slightly. The leaves aren't turning crispy no more but yellow leaf is a concern and is spreading. I am thinking of giving it a nitrogen boost to help it.
I do suspect that this plant may have gone into lockout. I did feed it with cal mag to see if the leaves would've shown improvement, likewise with nitrogen deficiency. However, it has not proven successful and some leaves are showing a burn appearance. Therefore I have flush the soil medium out with rain water until a pH was increased from 6.5 to 6.7. I am currently awaiting for a delivery of an EC reader to check ppm etc. Until then I will continue to use water only until signs of recovery are displayed. The bud sites are still growing, just long and thin which proves not much nutrients are being taken up. Time will tell, I am hopeful however.
What a considerable improvement from last week, I managed to flush out the excess phosphorus in the plant and it has managed to use up what was left, evidently as the size of the buds have increased a lot. As well as adding cal mag/nitrogen, and potassium for the induction of flowering and rebalancing of the nutrients. All is back on track to a great harvest... Fingers cross, not long to go...
I think it's nearly time for flush. I have added a fan in there to reduce humidity levels. Everything is blooming as fattening up really well. Can't wait!
Great performance so far, few fox tails but I have reduced light intensity and increased air flow so have seen an improvement. Lots of white hairs for flowering still, looks like it will be a big plant and a good growth. Looking forward to see next week's growth!
She is fattening up slowly but surely, pure water from now on. The light times have also been reduced to 10 hours to speed up the growth as I need the grow room quite quick and this strain is taking longggg and she stinks the whole street out when the windows are open! ( I can't smell it because I'm used to it lol)
Some light over the horizon as pistils are starting to turn brown at lower levels somewhat and trichomes becoming more cloudier whilst earlier trichomes turn an Amber like colour. Fox tail issue has been somewhat resolved by increasing ventilation and reducing light power via the dimmer.
Here's to flushing!!
609 ppm and 1168 us/cm 25.0 degrees celcius
This week I have summoned for a ripen additive to the schedule as well as flushing with pure water, filtered through 7 stages. Slowly growing and maturing, hopefully not much longer to go!
Slowly slowly catchy monkey 😂 looking good for its final week, pistils are now starting to change colour. Fox tail is still present but not too bad. This week will be the time for the snip following magnesium deficiency and a flush of 0 ppm water via 7 stage filter.
I haven't trimmed or dried the buds yet so I am looking forward to see the end results and updating my diary soon.
Update: 240g of dry bud weight, not bad at all. I think the light helped a lot and should the issue of lockout not occurred half way through the growth then I'd reckon it would have been a lot bigger. Never the less, a great high and couch relaxing adventure. Mint and outdoor smell to it nice taste and denser buds now dried
