I love her big fat indica leaves. Steady growth so far no problems. Not planning to fertilize for at least a few weeks except maybe 1/2 dose big bloom, wholly Mackerel, and microbe brew. Have to see what they want.
Gonna give er some LST and snatch a little branch off the bottom for a clone and slip this little lady into flowering. I am excited about this one. The leaves are exactly as big as they look... Larger than my very large hands.
Flipping on day 44. Switching to maxisun bp4000. Nutrients are in check. This thing has me drooling already. Looking super healthy going into flowering. Fingers crossed for no hiccups.
I just love this plant!!! She isn't the heaviest feeder so far somehow. I don't understand how with those fucking windfarm rotor blade sized leaves.
But hey, not complaining. That small dose I gave her last week has her satisfied.
Continuing that regimen as I cycle into flowering nutrients. Next week, I start with the Beastie bloomz
This plant is really incredible. I hope the smoke matches, cuz it has been really fun to grow so far.
Happy Harvests!!
I don't even know what to say except that I feel so blessed to have this plant. If the herb sucks she will still be the most beautiful lady I have ever set eyes on.
I doubt the herb is gonna suck tho.
I really like when I get a plant into a sweet spot where I can pretty much dry scratch happy frog give her big bloom and a little microbe and kelp. I do cheat with the bloom nutes though.
Open Sesame/Beastie Bloomz/Cha-Ching. Oh and of course the Bembe!!!
This girl is in that spot. It has always meant victory in the past.
Day 73: She's just filling in right now. I love her curves.
Day 76: maybe spoke too soon. All girls showing some N deficiency since I switched off mineral Fertilizer.
Resuming FF Soil fertilizer schedule. (with Grow big and Tiger Bloom)
5 weeks in the bank and 3 to 5 left with this lady.
I feel so blessed to have this beauty in my stable.
Day 89: Holy wow the calyxes popping out are HUGE and heavily spiked with large trichomes.
Got my first smells off of her today. one word: SPICY!
LOVELOVELOVE This lady!!!
She had the last of her nutrients at the end of last week.
Now it's just water until she finishes.
Funny story. I didn't notice she was thirsty until after I was proofing my update >.>
She's a real kook.
Not really sure what to make of her. Looks like she's foxtailing, but maybe just filling out?
She doesn't appear right now to be a very good producer, but I'm hoping for some interesting weed :)
I will be happy with whatever she gives us.
Day 59 of flowering: What the fuck?! wait to see next weeks pics, I'm already overloading this week lol.
This thing is exploding with flower clusters all over the plant.
I thought she'd be finishing up but instead she is pushing out some of the hugest calyxes I have ever seen in person.
She's a real kook! Why she decided to finally blow up at week 8 is beyond me.
Not complaining, She smells sweet, floral and earthy.
No idea how long she has left.
Still weirding out. IDK if it's fox-tailing or what. The white stigmas are at the tips of the buds and all lower growth mostly.
It's filling out in a patchy manner with clumps of flowers erupting randomly from under the canopy of the leafy colas.
This lady REEKS! I opened the tent yesterday to a nose full of coffee skunk.
I was just thinking of beginning a search for a good coffee skunk strain and bam.
Thank you Great Creator!
I hope the weirdness is normal and she finishes soon!!!
117/72: Stigmas in highest colas finally beginning to wither.
Under growth has just exploded and is slowly maturing under those giant fan leaves.
She's getting really close! Very coffee-skunky lady from afar, but sweet and floral up close.
Beautiful fall colors erupting in her fade.
Fun one to grow and very unique in her structure.
The Largest Calyxes I have ever had a hand in.
Excited to get her down and cured up.
That's 2/2 from the black friday giveaway that are probably keepers.
Can't wait to try out the wedding cake some day.
Edit Harvest: Harvested a couple days early because I began to worry about mold. Sure enough, there is some mold in these uber-dense nuggets. I think the single top cola was a bad idea.
I have only found one small pocket so far, But there is some very suspect material to go through still.
I have mixed feelings about this grow. She flowered very strangely... maybe that's normal, but a first for me. It felt like she didn't really fatten until like 8 weeks from flip and harvested just past 10. Developed quite a bit in that time.
My suspicion is that a nutrient lockout/shortage delayed developement in the middle of flowering. When nutrients became available again it resumed flowering where it left off... kinda.
Turned out fox-taily and weird shaped but very dense and crystally. Early smoke report is a mild kushy earthy flavor with a good spicy nose burn. This one needs cure out fo sho!
Got another started. This try will be topped and trained to prevent those large dense colas which promote mold in my environment. This one maybe just won't work here, I'll know in about 10 weeks.
