ShiftyGaijin Dunked the seeds in a bath of filtered and pH’ed water brought to 90*F for a few hours before placing them in a plastic tray with a damp paper towel folded over some DynoMyco sprinkled in spots the seeds would be.
The Alaskan Purple cracked, shot the taproot and started climbing out of the seed within the first day, and was placed into a clear party cup with air holes poked in it and some old, recharged SoHum soil from a previous grow.
The Maui Waui took a bit longer to crack, so I added another seed in case that one was a dud. Eventually, the other seed cracked, but took a long time again. 4 days to be precise. But once it started wiggling out of the shell, it got its own party cup with SoHum.

ShiftyGaijin This week mostly belongs to the Alaskan Purple. One of the Maui Waui seeds never popped, so I had to get another wet. In that time, the Alaskan Purple popped through the soil and grew its first set of leaves after the cotyledons with purple tips.

ShiftyGaijin I think this week, the Maui Waui started to thrive in the damp soil, due to genetically where they are from. However the Alaskan Purple is not happy with my over-watering. So I’ll be dialing it back and letting it dry out.

ShiftyGaijin The Alaskan Purple is still showing signs of stress, but they’re both big enough now that I can up-pot them into some 3 Gallon fabric pots. Filled the pots with my amended SoHum and sprinkled some DynoMyco on the root zone after breaking the roots up a little.
