Well here we go into Week Four of Veg! ๐๐ With four weeks of initial growth behind them now, the FastBuds Gorilla Cookies Auto's are doing great and sprouting new growth everyday, especially the #2 pheno who's wide, stocky and getting taller by the day!
Thank you for following along this journey with me, especially with FastBud's announcement of this 'Tester Strain #2103's name being revealed as 'Purple Punch'!
Growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! ๐๐

3/22- Well Week Four of veg is here and the girls are going though some changes now with both girl's going into Pre-Flower. I'm thankful that I decided to top dress them yesterday as the dry amendments are slow release which will start providing nutrients right at the time when they'll need it the most!
I used some training clips by Engineering Essentials on both girls to train their branches down and out with LST to spread them out as much as possible to create as many bud sites as possible and by late in the day they had already recovered and had all their branches curving up to the light!
After their heavy watering in of their top dress yesterday their pots were still HEAVY so I'm not watering today to give the pots an opportunity to dry out some.
The 'FastBuds 4x4's temp's are running in the upper 70's during the light cycle and drop to the upper 60's when the HLG 225 is off. RH is currently at 50-55% to try and keep the VPD numbers in a decent range.
3/24- Both girl's are in flower now with the #2 being the prettier of the two. All they are getting now is 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC once a day. I occasionally will give them a small drink in the afternoon as well depending on how they look.
I'm continuing with tucking leaves and gently manipulating branches multiple times a day to maintain light penetration down into the center of both plants. They both have an abundance of bud sites forming and are looking to be some beauties!
Their color and vigor remain good, however I did have a minor issue with tent temp's. I run a 14k BTU A/C unit ducted directly into two tents and adjust the temp setting according to whether the lights are on or off.
I was late lowering the A/C temp by about 10 min. this morning and as a result the temperature in the tent rose to 85.7 degrees F which caused some minor 'taco-ing' on their leaves. I quickly lowered the temperature down into the mid to upper 70's F and both girls recovered rapidly...thank goodness! I'm hoping the heat stress won't affect their development too much, if at all.
3/26- Daily watering continues with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC given to each in the morning. Foliar feeding before lights out continues every other night.
They're both looking gorgeous with their developing flowers and I anxiously await to see their development over the next few weeks!
3/28- So long Week 4! OMG...both girls are absolutely phenomenal specimens with gorgeous color, structure and growth rate they're hard to beat!
Daily watering continues with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC given to each in the morning. Foliar feeding before lights out continues every other night.
Their water intake has increased slightly and I've been dividing their watering to twice daily to keep up with their needs.
I spend the majority of my time 'tucking & plucking' leaves and making sure the environment stays as close to on point as possible.
I am having issues with keeping the 4x4 in the mid 70's during the light cycle as our weather has really warmed up. This 4x4 is a new setup that I'm trying a new A/C ducting design with to cool it, and with the outside ambient temp's rising the A/C unit isn't able to push enough cool air into it to keep temp's in the sweet spot. To adapt, I've been keeping the tent flaps and door open to get more cool air in which is currently working, but I'm going to have to figure out this cooling issue before next month as it will only be getting warmer from here on out. I WILL get this figured out... I love a challenge! ๐๐
Onward to Week 5 where the buds will be getting bigger and these girls really start to show their stuff!
Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with the girls starting pre-flower... Grow Strong! ๐๐
@Antony_mow, After a week in the jars, I pressed some of the flower which had a 22-24% return of gorgeous rosin. I use the 'sugar trim' for bubble hash and/or the sift screens. ๐คชโค๏ธ
