Going well so far, almost all of the JOTI seeds (10/12) have already sprouted! These are the ones that I accidentally mixed up, so I'm not sure which will be Blue Widow and which will be Blueberry Cough. I've grown both once each though so it shouldn't be hard to tell the difference once we get there! One Gorilla Stomper, one Rasputin, and no Chocolope so far..I hope we get some of those cause that plant was nice. 😁 UPDATE: 3 Chocolope popped up overnight and another Rasputin! 3/11/21 I think all the germinating is finished but I will plant the unsprouted ones into cups anyway, just in case they decide to come out! Gonna be using a coco starter mix for now, then off into 1 gallon pots until we find out who's who!

So far so good; I've got 18 sprouted and into cups as well as the ones that haven't yet just in case they are late bloomers. 10/12 of the Blueberry Mysteries (either Blueberry Cough or Blue Widow), 4/4 Chocolope, 2/4 Rasputin, and 2/2 Gorilla Stomper. Not bad, especially considering 8/10 bag seeds sprouted! Trying Roots Organics coco mix to start which will need some nutrients in a few days. After they get settled in I will be moving them into 1 gallon pots for 6-8 weeks (depending on my patience) before switching them to flower. If enough of them are females I am hoping to get a SoG-ish grow going, though I don't know if I want to spend that much on living soil so I may only be trying it on some of the plants. If it works out well compared to the regular soil/nutrient plants then I will definitely get it for next grow!

A few of them aren't terribly happy with their new soil homes and I'm not sure why; at least two of them have the tips of their first set of leaves turning pale which doesn't look like light or nutrient burn to me. I'm thinking it may be some kind of deficiency from the coco mix and me only giving them half feedings of nutrients the first time..? The second sets of leaves seem to be doing okay at least though, so maybe it was just transplant shock. Other than that, not much to report. Growth is a bit slow which I'm gonna guess is due to our temperature dropping and the rain coming and going. There's at least one with a bit of a mutation going on, but it is one of the Chocolope bag seeds so I can't complain! UPDATE 3/25: Looks like it was a bit of overwatering mixed with a lack of nutrients! I haven't ever used full soil-less before as a starter and am used to starting the nutes off less than normal then ramping them up over the weeks with soil, but I gave them a full dose and they're much happier. I also used a spray bottle to just wet the tops a few times throughout the day so as not to overdo anything, and so far so good!

I forgot to take pictures or post this week, though they basically looked the same as the prior week but worse! Apparently I didn't know what I was doing with this coco coir mix and I gave them all a good under AND over watering at certain points. All the signs of both of those and nutrient deficiency were evident and I am an idiot. This fourth week they are looking a bit better-I will get pics and a log up tonight when I get a chance.

They're starting to make their way back to life finally! One of these grows I will manage not to mess everything up... 😅 They're definitely a bit stunted and unhappy, but things are looking better. Trying to lightly water them every couple/few days, I'm still not used to this growing medium and I think I will just stick to soil mixtures for the near future. Once these guys get put in 1 gallon pots they will be in mostly soil anyway. Then I get to try the living soil with some of the best looking ladies!

First transplant day! Got them all into their 1 gallon pots using a mixture of (vast majority) Roots Organics Soil & Coco Coir Mix, some leftover Fox Farms Ocean Floor, and a few cups of earthworm castings. Mostly easy and uneventful, but a few of them decided not to hold onto their soil much. Probably should've done this yesterday when the soil was a bit wetter - still new to that all coco coir stuff! Slight water and dimmed the lights for the day. Will be keeping a close eye on them the next few days for transplant shock.

Everything is looking pretty damn good so far! Oddly enough, the bagseed are mostly all moving along a lot faster than the Blueberry Cough and Blue Widow seeds from Jordan of the Islands. Since I had them on different sides of the tent I decided to switch them all to test out if there is any difference. Then again I also moved one of the fans to the opposite side, so the test isn't QUITE exact. Oh well. Added a bit more soil to fill out/up the fabric pots fully tonight and watered all the bagseed as they were in need. I'll probably need to water all the Blues tomorrow night or evening. No nutes in the water yet, just spraying nightly with Flowers Kiss foliar spray about 3 hours before the lights turn on. Found out I need an atomizing spray bottle, works wonderfully! They're all around 5 nodes with the sixth sprouting up. I've decided I'm going to mainline/manifold them all like I did my first plant, just in case way too many of them end up being female for me to fit them all in 3 gallon pots. I also got a lot more weight out of less wattage in the first grow by mainlining, so I think it's no joke!

Today was topping day! Everyone is looking great and they're growing pretty properly, minus the cramped area and my inability to center plants in their pots! Even though they're in a good amount of coco coir, they are still a bit wet after four days and show no signs of unhappiness (we'll see now that I chopped them in half) so I am going to wait to water them until after their dark period. Unless I check them in a bit and they need water of course. Not much else to report, but I will update as they recover and I tie them down and abuse the poor things further. UPDATE 4/18/21: Watered the babies and started training on some of the ones who have their soon-to-be mainline branches growing long enough. Love these little plastic plant training clip things! Trying to organize them better so they aren't all growing into one another. I don't think I'll be needing the humidifier any more as summer is coming up in time for them to want drier weather, so maybe I can take it out and give them some extra space. Few more weeks tops and I can change them to 12/12 and see who is staying and whether or not I will be up-potting them or just winging it with a ton of tiny females plants. Either way I will be happy!!

Between the humidity and stress from the rough training the plants aren't growing terribly fast, but they are looking a bit happier after I checked when the lights came on an hour ago. I'm trying to be as gentle as possible but I've broken three branches so far unfortunately. Two of them seem to have been salvaged with a bit of medical tape, but I did lose one! 😥 Still just watering them with just plain water, though I'll probably going to start with 1/4 dose of veg growth Fox Farm nutrients in a few days when I water them next to see if they handle it fine. Their stems/stalks are looking a tad small and I wanna fatten them up in case I get the big colas I'm aiming for! I'd also like to speed things along a bit during this stage so I can get them to their 4th nodes, then top them once more before I train and veg them a bit before flower. I honestly wouldn't mind if all of them were females and I got a bit of SoG going!! UPDATE 4/28: Tied them all down to their pots now that they've grown out some. The two branches I partially broke but taped up are doing well, but the one I fully snapped is only going to have two nodes on one side instead of the four I'd like! The bad part about training main-lined branches is that they're the only ones, but I'm trying to be careful.

Think I got 12 of the 18 topped for their second and third times, then removed the 2nd node from each side so everything will be nice and even come flowering time. Tied all of them down with some of the crappy sharp garden wire for now, just got more of the nice soft rubber stuff in today and will switch to that when they start vegging out more. They reacted great to the 1/4 dose of Fox Farm Nutrients, though I also gave them a full dose of the NOT "Big Three" supplements like the Microbe/Kelp/Fish/Roots. A few days more and the next ones will be topped and ready, then a week or two before I switch to flower and see who stays with us! UPDATE 05/05/21: Topped the rest of them and started getting the training done with the nicer plant wires. Accidentally snapped a couple of them again and one of them didn't make it, so I'll have two plants with six nodes instead of eight...whatever shall I do?! Meanwhile the other three took well to being taped and are doing splendidly, with the first two actually having their tape taken off today. Doing a LOT of fan leaf tucking, so I will be defoliating a lot of the larger unnecessary ones tomorrow or the next day. I know many people believe in only defoliating 2-3 times during the life cycle but my own experiences show no problems with proper defoliation throughout the veg period and some light snips during the flowering period. As long as I don't get carried away or take a fan leaf too early for the newer leaves to be taking over, all seems well!

Everyone is looking great this week! Just put them into the last stages of their training earlier today. I will end up using the softer wires to pull them down farther after they've gone through a bit more softer training sideways. Took the OG fan leaves off all the plants. I probably shouldn't have on at least one of them, but I kinda got into the flow and clipped them without paying attention. I'm sure they'll be fine but will probably end up stunted compared to the rest. I haven't watered them in six? days and they actually look a lot happier than watering them every 4-ish. This next week I will be feeding with at least 1/2 dose as they will be put into flower quite shortly! UPDATE 05/14/21: I think we are getting into SoG territory here. A week or 10 days and I will flip them to see how much of the sea dissipates. 😬 Hopefully there aren't TOO many males...though I could definitely use a few less plants to trim/train/water every few days!!

I think I'm allowed to call this a Sea of Green grow now, even if they're not in flower yet! 😄 Everything's going well, though May Grey is keeping the humidity super high and isn't doing their growth any favors and which will only give way to the ol' June Gloom. Not much I can do about that unless I were to install a whole environmental control system in the garage of my rented house..no thanks!! I'll have more pictures throughout the week and an update or two. Gonna need to do some heavy defoliation tomorrow or the next day. Thinking about getting rid of the small nodes in the middle before even turning them into flower, as they are not going to be getting a ton of light penetration between the other 8 nodes around them. UPDATE 05/21/21: Gave them a good trimming today so they stop getting all in each others' faces! As you can see from the one pic, we have another broken one and this time it was just from it being caught on another plant when I was moving them. So tons of leaves had to get out of here! They look great, and I think they're almost tall enough for flower. I'm really worried about how humid it is even though they won't be done for well over a month and I have the air circulation pretty well taken care of. I'm not trying to have them at 18 hours during when our POS electric company raises the rates during the hottest months!

Well it is getting to be warmer and less humid - though I'm sure it'll be cold and rainy next week the way things are going - so I have decided today is the day to switch to flower! Gave them one last good trim so they have good airflow between the branches and leaves, since they are all up in each others' shit right now. At this point I am so thrilled that at least one of these will be going, as the branches are all intertwined and I don't want to break any more wonderful growing heads just moving the things in and out of the tent. Between the branches/leaves from the plant and the training wires it is a goddamn minefield in there! Watered them with Fox Farm Sledgehammer so they're nice and ready for their next phase of life and the flowering nutrients I will be introducing. I'm not even sure there will be enough room to up-pot some of these, so the living soil might just be used for dressing at this point. I'm not sure how long the stuff lasts and I don't think it will be happy after our hot as hell summers. Not a cool place in the house to store it properly!

All is going pretty well still! Just trying to keep up with the training and canopy evenness, not that it matters much to the shorter plants who aren't getting as much love. One of them (probably two, maybe three) is definitely a male and already outside, unfortunately he was one of the healthiest ones of course. On the bright side, I count 5 females and a lot of the rest of them are looking to be going the same route!! After the flowering push (~week 3) I am going to see where the inner nodes are developmentally and if they aren't worth the plant diverting the energy to them I will just be getting rid of them. Will update later this week with more! UPDATE: I don't know why a lot of these pictures look so damn shitty, I will get better ones in a few days. And I had the nutes all wrong. 06/02/21: Two more males taken out today, but I found at least two or three other females so it works out fine. They're also all either the Blueberry Cough or Blue Widow mix-up seeds, of which I had ten growing, so not too bad! Plus, they can finally BREATHE! Just in time for it to be 78% humidity in the garage. 😆 UPDATE 06/02/21: Looks like I'm running with 15/18 females - it's a better ratio than last time for sure, but damn! 😅 Pics coming tomorrow after water and living soil top dress.

15/18 females! I might need to bribe some people to help me trim at the end of this.. The males are gorgeous too unfortunately. But they are all one of the JOTI Blue varieties that I had mixed up, so hopefully I will actually collect their pollen like I said I would last run. Top dressed all of them with Nature's Living Soil Concentrate - it says a thin layer, hopefully I know what they meant by thin! It smells GOD AWFUL in there. Don't believe them when they say it goes away! Took a lot of little bud sites off that are just never going to get enough light in the next couple months, will do the same in a week or two when I hard defoliate for the last time. They look happy with the new soil after watering, but I know nutrient problems take a bit to show up so we will see what happens! I think I may transplant the solo cup one and leave her outside - who'd have thought she'd make it this far AND be female?! UPDATE 06/12/21: The shorter bunch were showing signs of overwatering - which would explain why they were so much shorter than the rest - so I let them dry out for a few extra days and watered them earlier today. Otherwise, everything is looking good and it's not like they were dying from it. Plus they were already starting to bounce back just from being starved - gotta love this plant! 😆 They seem to be taking to the living soil just fine, which I was a little worried about but I figured would be okay. I will be collecting some of the pollen from the guys outside. I decided since I can't really do much about the single solo cup female getting pollinated out there I may as well precipitate it myself and get some seeds out of the deal. They'll be a Rasputin(from what I read this likely is actually just White Russian)/Blueberry Cough or Widow cross! With everything that plant went through they're sure to be a hardy bunch, if they work out.

They're a bit out of control at this point, but what am I going to complain about?! Some overwatering issues with the ones in the back of the tent led to them being a bit shorter than the others, and also a little behind in progress than the larger ones. It may be a bit of a staggered harvest at this rate. Luckily the LED doesn't seem to burn the taller ones. Otherwise, we are looking great! It's been two weeks since the first signs of sex and the the larger ones are starting to frost up a bit. Have to tuck all the leaves under each other every morning, can't wait to hard defoliate them in a week. UPDATE 06/18/21: Well we've got one hermie so far..I can't say I'm too upset at this point, they're still too crowded! Hopefully the one that's already outside took to seed as well, though I'm sure this one will give me plenty. Will snap some pics tomorrow when it isn't so late!

We are down to 14 in the tent after finding a hermie last week. They're outside with the males and the female Rasputin AKA Solo Cup Survivor who looks to be seeding! The new hermie is already turning purple since they get less light where I have to keep them outside, and all their hairs oranged after maybe two-three days out there. Having all these plants at once definitely allows me to experiment and also learn and experience a lot of different scenarios! Gave them their big defoliation the other day, though I went a little lighter on the shorter plants for now. After a bit of recovery I'll give them another once over and keep trimming the ones I can't tuck out of the way as flowering goes along. Some of the longer ones are probably (hopefully, if all goes well!!) need those plant Yo Yos or some kind of support from above, as just moving them has them swaying pretty violently and they hardly have any weight on them! I'm think next time I use the manifold technique I will just get rid of the inner nodes, and also maybe a bit harder training so their branches aren't so weak. Gotta get some newer pics of the outside ones after I give them a watering today or tomorrow. Also, I'm hoping I will start to smell the plants over that awful living soil death stench soon! 😆

Fuck. Seems I took the last hermie out too late and it had already pollinated pretty much every single other plant in the tent. I'm really not sure how else they would've been pollinated, so that's my guess at least! What a feeling of defeat and wasted time! I'm exhausted and kinda hate everything right now. And I never want to bother with photos again, but at this point I'll have a million seeds of random genetics. 💩 07/01/21 UPDATE: Alright I'm a bit less stressed about the whole thing - there are still a decent amount of buds that will hopefully just continue along their frosty path. Still, there are WAY too many seeded buds and ones that look like they will probably be in the near future. Meanwhile one of the hermies outside is only half seeded while sitting next to three males in the wind. 😑 But whatever, I will just have to be more diligent and quicker with taking them out next time. Happy July everyone!

Looks like 3, maybe 4, plants in the tent seeded on top of the three outside and three males..so I'm down to 9-10 or so, which is nothing to scoff at. Let's hope they end up continuing to grow nicely. They're doing great in the living soil, I was a bit worried they wouldn't transition well from synthetic nutrients. Will be taking some pics with the DSLR in the coming week or two..unfortunately I got rid of my super nice macro, but I will do what I can with what is left!

There's really not much to say at this point, just watering them every 2-3 days, watching, and waiting. Not very many amber trichomes, their smell is still not too strong, even on the ones with all their pistils turned orange already. Some of their leaf edges are starting to yellow a bit, which hopefully means I timed the last feeding of living soil properly and they will start eating their getting rid of their own nutrients in the next couple weeks. Took some pics with the DSLR today. The old macro lens I have still is soooo much worse than the one I sold - I was using it to check trichomes from a distance last grow. But at least it paid the bills I guess! 😅 I'm trying to figure out how long it takes for seeds to develop fully so I can get some use out of the ones outside that seeded. I don't think I will be waiting for the ones in the tent to come to fruition, as I'd rather just get some new ones in there. Maybe I'll start some seeds outside for the next few weeks before bringing them in!

Was a pretty rough week; I wasn't feeling well and missed checking them one day and a couple of them pretty much fully dried up! I'm not quite sure what even happened as it wasn't overly dry in the tent or the garage/outside. They were on two separate sides of the tent as well, maybe they were just more in need of water than the rest of them. I guess I'll be testing a couple of them early! A couple of the other ones had signs of drying a bit but I am not chopping them yet, unless someone wants to tell me otherwise. I chopped two of the outdoor ones which had their seeds popping out already. I'm pretty much ready to get on with the next grow and keep fixing my mistakes, but I will just wait til they are ready like I'm supposed to! 😄 They've been hanging for 2-3 days now? Every other time I've taken them off the stems and cut the leaves off right away they dried too quickly in my environment, so I just left them how they came. I will probably cut the fan leaves off tomorrow.

Chopped two more of them that had dried a bit with the others-they weren't recovering any so I may as well get them down before they lose any potency, or get worse for the love of god! The ones that are left are looking beautiful, though I will never be using a foliar spray again. I've tried three different recommended sprayers and the only one that actually created a proper mist broke in like a month, and was expensive. They are taking a ton of time to develop, but at this point I may as well wait it out until they're ready I guess. Next grow will be much less complicated I hope! Thanks for coming and all the well wishes!!😍 UPDATE 07.30.21: So I've chopped them all but two - the weird White Russian from the red cup that I'm not even sure what it is doing any longer, and one last Blueberry Cough (I can tell from the smell!) that I am pretty sure has seeded. Whether it has or not, it still has white pistils and my other seeds need to be moved into the tent for unforeseen reasons, so I moved it outside to finish itself up. I trimmed and bagged what didn't have seeds from the first two plants that I cut, plus the two that had seeded and were outside for a while. Trying out these Grove Bags - supposedly I'll be able to cure in them without burping and whatnot, sounds like a great deal so I had to try them! Looks like basically all of them got some seeds, c'est la vie! From what I got from these first three plants I won't need to buy seeds for quite a long time..it's too bad I just got some in the mail today! 😂 While I may not have a ton of giant nugs, all this trim and these seeded nugs have plenty of trichomes on them and will probably make some good bubble! Also, fuck seeding buds. I'd much rather get cramps from clippers than do that regularly! Pics will be up tomorrow or the next day.

Grow was fine, especially for bag seed. One of these is the red cup champ that is still growing into a weird fox tail monster outside. Will post pics and weights ASAP, gotta finish trimming and such tomorrow
