The purple lemonade seed was soaked for 24 hours then placed in a paper towel for 3 days, before being placed directly into a 20l smart pot using a 50/50 mix of biobizz light soil and perlite.
Spraying the area around the seedling 2x a day and the inside of the cover 3x to keep humidity up.
I had the bottom half of a bottle over her for a few days, my first time doing this and it seemed to stunt the growth, since removing it she’s coming along much faster so I won’t be doing it again.
First feed on the 20/3/21
Into week 2 of veg and she’s really starting to grow, you can notice a difference from morning to night. Nearly ready for some lst!
She’s taking nutes well so far, no signs of any stress. Been slowly working my way towards the edge of the pot with every feed, the edge of the pot is now a little less than 3x the area of the plant so on the 25/3/21 I saturated the full pot with 4l.
27/3/21 top of the pot fed with 2l of water with nutes.
29/3/21 another full watering with the base nutes up to 1.5ml/l, b52 and rhino skin at 1ml/l and calmag at 0.5ml/l.
I wasn’t planning on defoliating but I didn’t really have much choice, keeping everything tied down low has caused the large lower fan leaves to be pushed into the soil, nightmare for feeding so chopped a few off.
3/4/21 - Day 29 from seed. The first pistils are now across all the flowering sites, time to let her do her thing 👌🏻.
She’s gone into flower, showing plenty of white pistils across all the flowering sites.
Did one last defoliation and another bit of lst to get everything nice and even for the stretch, quite a few fan leaves weren’t getting light and a few covering lower flowering sites.
Week 6 and she seems very happy and healthy! The feeding schedule I’m following this time around seems to be the way to go.
Some minor lst and defoliation again to uncover lower flowers.
Everything going smoothly so far the only negative I have is the overall size, she’s not very big! Switched big bud for overdrive and she’s starting to get stinky now.
Into week 8 and she’s fattening up nicely, dense frosty purple buds looking delicious and smelling sweet 🤤 the pistils are over 50% orange and the trichomes are nearly all cloudy. I think she maybe started to take on too much calmag as some of the fan leaves started to wilt at the ends and become spotty so I gave her a small flush with ph 6.5 water and three days later gave a full feed without calmag and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of it getting worse 🤞🏻 Not far off the end flush anyway I just wanted to see if I could correct it for a bit of experience.
Day 61- full pot flushed.
Week 9 and she’s done! I’m just letting her dry out for a day or two before the chop. She was flushed on day 61 and again on day 64, if I knew she was going to be done so fast I’d have flushed a week a go but the trichomes are starting to turn amber. Removed a few fan leaves for the lowers and mids!
After a few days drying there was a bud dryer than the others half way up a branch, trimmed it and ground it up, once ground up the smell was a strong citrusy fuel, looks good with the dark purple and bright orange pistils mixed together. Smokes smooth and tastes sour, the high comes on fast and is very cerebral, not too long before it starts to mellow into the body and once you sit down that’s you 😂 very stoned but still quite focused, perfect night time smoke 👌🏻.
Harvested on 11/5/21 on day 68 with about 5-10% amber trichomes.
This is definitely my best grow yet, couple of mistakes but that was expected. Excellent genetics, the plant was really strong right from the start, even though I stunted her with a bottle over her for humidity. The wire I used to pin the branches down also choked the stalks so I’d imagine she would have been a bit bigger if it wasn’t for that. But what a beautiful plant, it was a shame to chop it down it’s so nice to look at, big fat purple and orange buds dipped in sugar, some of the lowers could have had longer but they’ll make nice cookies. 346g wet with the stalks still on, I’ll be happy with 90g dry. I’ll definitely grow it again to see if I can make her bigger, roll on some dried bud for a taster!
After a couple of days of drying the true smell is really starting to come out, strong cookies/fuel with undertones of citrus it smells delicious 🤤.
68.5G dry, slightly over dried but the bogeys packs will sort it. Small harvest but good quality so that’ll do 👍🏻
