Transferring into a slightly different soil and when to use nutes

I have started two auto strains in smaller fiber pots with FF Happy Frog and plan on transferring them to 3 gallon fabric pots with FF Ocean Forest. Is this a good idea and if so roughly when should I transfer and begin nuts?

it's a very good idea to start the seed in happy frog and use ocean forest when they are older. ocean forest can be quite nutrient-rich and can burn young plants. ideally, with autos you want to start them in their final pot to avoid the transplant stress. this is because any stress the plant experiences will stunt the plant a little and lower overall yield. next time growing autos try filling the final pot size with ocean forest and then digging a hole in the middle and add happy frog until its full. then plant the seed in the happy frog. that way the plant will have a little barrier it has to go through to hit the nutrient-dense soil that would burn it. For now, I would just wait until you have a good root structure so the soil stays together more when you transplant it. or if its one of those peat or coco starter pots you can just bury that in the final pot and the plant will grow through it.

I would think to transplant around 2-3 weeks from sprout. You want the roots to be gripping pretty tight on to that soil in the little pots you got there. Water the plants about 1-2 days before transplant so hopefully the soil will stay bound together and come out easily. You want to try to avoid the root zone crumbling and ripping the small roots when pulling them from the pot. Also a personal tip from my experience, is that you will eventually need to add some form of nutrient, as the nutrients in that amount of soil will only last so long. I recommend using some form of top dressing 2 weeks after transplant. Or, if using bottled nutrients, start applying about 3 weeks after transplant.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. U wont need any nutes until 2/3rd wk wen transplanted into ur 3gal pots.. Personally id start feeding wen at 14/21days in final pots.. then because they auto's id do a feed then a water and so on.. Ideally u shud put auto's straight into final pots once sprouted so not to cause any stress.. Hope all goes well.. Gud luck n stay safe.. 👍🍀
