Lightening Soil - Coco Coir or Perlite?

I think my soil is a bit heavy and could have better drainage. Should I add more perlite or some coco coir for my next garden? My base is Biobizz Light-Mix. I'm thinking of supplementing it with 10%-15% of perlite or coco coir. Does this sound good or should I do something else?

Yes I think perlite is recommended to add to soil when growing cannabis and almost does it and commercial soil mixes most often have it too.
Coco will retain lots of moisture so I would suggest either soil/perlite or go hydro and use 100% coco

Hey :-) very nice plant ๐๐if you add perlite your substrate in this case coco will be even wetter :-) i always do without perlite, dear gieser but have better control for it ๐๐๐ป

Ph of the soilPh of the soil, I checked with this 2 ph meter but I dont know the credibility, if that work.. I see that is around 8.0 but I use water at 6.0ph and soil light mix biobizz, bio grow ,calmag , bio heaven. Are biology shouldn't change the ph.. how is possible? Advise?5y ago

adjusting ph level with BioBizz Light Mix and coco mixI have been adjusting my ph level to around 6.2-6.5. Now I'm wondering whether this was a mistake (see previous post), since I'm using BioBizz Light Mix (60%), coco coir (30%) and perlite (10%) as my substrate. Our tap water has a ph level of about 7.3.Week 5

I brought in a bin of my vegetable garden soil from last season. Very nice stuff - worms and organics, I ran some water through it ph 6.57 runoff.
** The only thing I am concerned about is these little sacs of spores or pollen ( not sure ) **

To plant in large pots or not ?Do I start seedlings in finishing pots or start them in smaller pots and then transplant them into the larger pots ? Clay pebbles at the bottomI'm thinking using this like maybe an half inch in 4 gallon fabric pot - for better airflow for roots & to prevent overwatering. They absorb the excess well and give off slowly.
Been doing this with my normal plants at home and it works well for them. Anyone with experience?Setup. Substrates
