Lightening Soil - Coco Coir or Perlite?

I think my soil is a bit heavy and could have better drainage. Should I add more perlite or some coco coir for my next garden? My base is Biobizz Light-Mix. I'm thinking of supplementing it with 10%-15% of perlite or coco coir. Does this sound good or should I do something else?

Yes I think perlite is recommended to add to soil when growing cannabis and almost does it and commercial soil mixes most often have it too.
Coco will retain lots of moisture so I would suggest either soil/perlite or go hydro and use 100% coco

Hey :-) very nice plant 😍👍if you add perlite your substrate in this case coco will be even wetter :-) i always do without perlite, dear gieser but have better control for it 😁🙏🏻

Normally, I only have to mix the soil with a bit of fresh soil and worm hummus to activate organic life again. And ofcourse break the old plant material with enzymes first and let it restSetup. Roaches in my new bag of Happy Frog soil.New grower. Swapping out my promix for soil. I wanted to make a mix of Happy Frog, Ocean Forest and perlite. My Happy Frog soil received via Amazon is full of roaches! Dumb question but is this trash now? How in the world do I return an open bag of soil to AMZ?!

Is it better to adjust nutrition if using soil from a previous grow?One of my grows is nearing the end and is being flushed this week ready for the chop on Saturday. Do I need to adjust the feed schedule for the next grow to account for any residual nutrients in the soil from the last grow? I am using BioBizz Light-Mix soil & full BioBizz range.

Brand new coco shows PH at 4.5, plants in germination stateI am germinating my seeds in coco. My coco shows PH of 4.5! That seems way too low! I tried to flushing with PH 6.7 water without any effect (see growdiary for more info). What should I do? Is something wrong with my coco?

Soil recommendation? Typically use Fox Farms Happy Frog but price keeps going up and quality seems much lower, lots of sticks, not mixed well etcIs there any soil recommendations anyone can make that are good but a less pricey? Dont get me wrong, I love Fox Farm’s, and 38/bag isnt terrible. I’m just curious if anyone has found a more mainstream soil that’s as good of soil.
