Hi my friend most ppl say don't change auto containers but....I Do and works everytime and yes I always make sure that my soil is damp with a nice level of water p.h (6.5-6.7) and leave the water soak through then I always make the Shape of the old container just not as deep as what is needed... after an hr or 2 I place my transplant in just above soil level and and the extra soil around the sides but I never add more water then until they've settled (sometimes her leaves can curl upwards dont or stress that's just her little signs of stress if she has any at all 99% of mine have never curledmy last 1 did slightly... and then by the next morning I use less than ¼ of the basic amount of nutes with a balanced P.H again 🌱😉 good luck my friend I shall be watching ur journey 👍

no. A seedling does not need much water at all and if you presoak your soil and you have ingredients in there designed to hold on to water then your pretty much guaranteed to either drown the plant or open up doorways that can lead to other problems like nasty insects that like damp places to live. your spot on though you should get autos into their main pot as quick as you can to minimize and stress as this can slow down autos dramatically.
