I might have a silly question, but here goes: I've found some lights I have left in my garage, and since I would like to upgrade my setup, I would like to know if these lights could function as grow lights. The light=> Osram Highbay HQL LED E40 140W Thanks!👽

I did some research on your hql led..the only 140w I found was the 140w e40 840..these last 2 digits refer to the the light spectrum so this would be a 4000k (cool white)so it’s could be useful in veg In flower you want a 865 6500k (warm white) but I can’t find anything on ppfs and I’m not so familiar with led..

Well you can always try! I think it depends on the PPFD and light spectrum. If it is not efficient you are just heating the place with 140W lamp without giving that much more to the plants. My hunch is that this will be good to add if there aint any other problems like heat etc and it will give you atleast something more!
