Difference in size between two plants in Week 1

Hello fellow growers! Does anyone know why there is quite a difference in the size of leaves between the two seedlings? They were planted at the same time and are treated the same. Could it be a defective seed or will the smaller plant catch up later?

Hey cookie, So there will almost always be some variation with plants of the same strain, the smaller may turn out to be the better of the 2 in the end. It looks like you're doing all the right things for them, root juice, good temp and reasonable RH, so it's probably just a patient game. The only things i noticed with your week is , maybe watering at lights out could be stressing the one...sitting in wet soil that's probably getting a little chilly since the lights are off and if any fans are on. Also just from personal experience, i used to mist all my plants to boost humidity but I wasn't letting the water sit for a few hours and let the chlorine evaporate and it ended up giving me lots of leaf irritation and some spotting, which also might have been combined with misting during lights on versus misting at lights out. Just something to be mindful of if you see any problems pop up. Happy growing. ✌️

meosis. Genetic recombination in prophase? have to look the details up :) Just as a sibling doesn't look like a twin, plants will look different even when breed to be similar. I'd keep them dryer, but whatever floats your boat. leaves don't absorb water in any way worth mentioning, roots do though. I wouldn't trash it over this... all sorts of ugly ducklings become beautiful plants later. May be the most potent one, since that doesn't have much to do with the traits you are observing now.

This is all due to plant genetics. Think of them as twins, and one is just slightly more of a grower! Don't worry i'm sure the other one will be blowing your mind soon enough as well! They both look happy and healthy! Happy growing!

Doesnt look like much of a difference between the two. At this point who knows that might be ur better plant. Give her some patience and mabey a touch less moisture and she will be on track.
