Temp control, can I put portable heater inside cold indoor tent? Bad for plant?

Thanks for the replied all. If I close the tent vent to trap heat inside from the HID.. will the plant be okay? No fresh air enter etc.. I will try put a portable heater outside the tent to see how it goes..

that can work and much safer than inside your tent... if you read the warning labels, they typically say nothing in front of it for 36" or so... with that said, plenty of people put them in tents... i'd be a bit scared, lol. i do this in winter. i have a small heater that maintians some minimum temperature -- mostly for night time. small room doesn't take much to maintain. If not too ugly, put some insulation over windows.. i have a drape in window, then some insulation and then something to hold that in the window sill tightly, lol... looks fine from outside amd has my exhaust port anyway, so not so pretty to start..

If it has a temp switch on your mini heater there should be an issue with it being in the tent. You do have moisture to be concerned about some some types of heaters are not suggested. You can also put it outside near your tents intakes to help draw the warm air in. Hope this helps! Happy growing!
