Its almost day 5 after emergence. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

How do I achieve the dark green leaves wedding cake wants? Sugar leaves turning whiteI am approaching end of flowering, it's 3 weeks remaining. One of the flowers on Laughing Buddha sugar leaves turn to white - first at the edges. I did cut them, should I worry? Or is it normal and genetics related? Pic with most leaves removed but I circled some with symptoms.
