Lumen and watt in microgrow

FYI, I grew in a PC cabinet once, and used only 45W of LED bar light. Anything stronger, and you wont be able to do much vertical growth, due to heat and UV burn. I now use a 1.5'x1.5'x3.5' grow box, with a Duo (separate veg/flwr switches) 180W array. This light is fan cooled, and I still have to watch my temps, when the ambient room temp is over 70F. Due to heat buildup, I would not use anything stronger than 100-150W of light for this area. If your area will be 2x2 or greater, than I believe you can start at 300W and beyond, if your height is at least 5'. I won't speak to lumens or PAR, but the quality lights out there, will fill that requirement. If money not an issue, MIGRO for your small grows, and Black Dog for bigger grows. I personally use ViparSpectra 300 for my larger 2'x2'x5 grow cabinet. - Cheap, but still quality enough for me.
