Hiya!
I’m going to grow in a mix of coco coir and perlite. (Currently in a jiffy) What sort of percentage should I look for in my mix, 50:50 or more of either?

i'd base it on size of the pot. smaller pot, smaller percentage needed for good drainage.
because coco doesn't retain as much water as soil, you'll want to maximize that portion... it already has excellent drainage propoerties.
10-20% should do you upto 5 gallon.. maybe 20-30% in something like a 7-10gallon?
it floats, so have a couple inches of pure coco to put on top, if you don't like it turning all white up top.. also helps avoid algea on perlite that does rise to top.

30-33% is what I grow in, the more perlite the less coco and coco is far more important past that point.

I got a dehumidifier to regulate and keep the humidity in 50%.
When i opend the deposit of the water of the dehumifier i found these little flies that are the classic Substrate fly (nasty but no harm).
Do yall think that the dehumidifier got them? Has this even happened to U4 years ago

My inflow was 300
My outflow was nearly 2000
I calibrated my bluelab pen to ensure accuracy.

Once seed cracked i planted seed on this soil. Is it too strong for the seedling? Am i already in trouble? xPIt's from Geolia, ph5.5-6.5. It says it has guano 200g/m³, and 1kg/m³ of N14 P16 K18 fertelizer and 7.0kg/m³ of limestone. 60-75% water absortion.It composed mostly of peat it seems. Ph of the soilPh of the soil, I checked with this 2 ph meter but I dont know the credibility, if that work.. I see that is around 8.0 but I use water at 6.0ph and soil light mix biobizz, bio grow ,calmag , bio heaven. Are biology shouldn't change the ph.. how is possible? Advise?4 years ago
