Any black soil with proper pH level (5.0 - 6.5) is alright.
Get some perlite too, mix it with your soil (80% soil, 20% perlite). Also make a perlite layer 1-2 cm thick at the bottom of your pot - it helps draining.

Clay pebbles at the bottomI'm thinking using this like maybe an half inch in 4 gallon fabric pot - for better airflow for roots & to prevent overwatering. They absorb the excess well and give off slowly.
Been doing this with my normal plants at home and it works well for them. Anyone with experience?Setup. Substrates

bad soilthe very bottom (1-1.5”) of my soil won’t drain. it’s compact and wet. becoming acidic(ph5, and the ph comes up to 6.8 the less deep u go) should i take the plant out from the pot and replace the shitty soil? i feel like i should. i just need encouragement and directionWeek 5

Air Temp in Tend from Top to bottom 23.1 to 23.9 so homogeneous
I measured the earth and its 17.5 C
mind you on the top side which is moist
I have 2 heaters,55 watts each that run at night and keep the temperature in the tent at 19.5C

How many and how large plants in a 4x2 tent for a quick veg/flowering?How many plants could I have in a 4x2 tent? soil not accepting waterSo last Sunday I watered in a little less than a gallon for each, in 7-gallon pots. the bottom is soaking wet, but about 1/2 inch down the soil seems bone dry. Medium is FF ocean forest and SOHUM Super soil at the bottom. the plants are showing over/underwatered. What do i do??5y ago
