Depends on how well you want them to grow. Soil is harder on plants, and roots can only do so much. Now if you do coco coir and perlite. If you properly maintain the coco the plants will get far bigger, more potent, and bigger yields. Or do a dwc.

Overwatered cubes in hydro? Too close to the sun? or effect of having addHi All, I have issues with my first hydro grow - i effed up. I think i was too slow in the transfer over in the tank. Light is 200 PPFD, EC at 0.6, and barely added any nutes.

Soil recommendation? Typically use Fox Farms Happy Frog but price keeps going up and quality seems much lower, lots of sticks, not mixed well etcIs there any soil recommendations anyone can make that are good but a less pricey? Dont get me wrong, I love Fox Farm’s, and 38/bag isnt terrible. I’m just curious if anyone has found a more mainstream soil that’s as good of soil. Roaches in my new bag of Happy Frog soil.New grower. Swapping out my promix for soil. I wanted to make a mix of Happy Frog, Ocean Forest and perlite. re-using soil worth it?Anyone with experience (give comparison growth, yield,...).... I use biobizz light mix. Normally, I only have to mix the soil with a bit of fresh soil and worm hummus to activate organic life again. And ofcourse break the old plant material with enzymes first and let it restSetup.
