Drastic rise in ppm using top drip in hydrotonHey... i am having a problem with my top drip on hydroton (week 1). My ppm rises dramatically over a day and a half. Im talking 300ppm to 800ppm.
Hydroton has been rinsed well before use. I have run dwc and rdwc before in hydroton without any problems. Anyone have an idea?

ph problem in cocoHigh growmies, I grow in canna coco and checked my run off today and found 1 girl's ec was way to high so gave her a good flush with PH'd water 5.8.This did the trick and brought the ec back to where I want it but then checked ph and it went up with each flush any idea's ???Setup. FFOF or Cana Coco Coir BricksI have a couple bags of FFOF in my grow room supply cabinet and three bags of perlite, fine, medium and course.
I am thinking that after I use up the FFOF, that I will switch to Cana Coco Coir Bricks.

Is it better to adjust nutrition if using soil from a previous grow?One of my grows is nearing the end and is being flushed this week ready for the chop on Saturday. Do I need to adjust the feed schedule for the next grow to account for any residual nutrients in the soil from the last grow? I am using BioBizz Light-Mix soil & full BioBizz range.3y ago

Can you please tell me if the sides need to be covered with earth?When I covered the soil in the beginning it wasn't like that, but after waterings the soil shrunk and now there is space between the pot fabric and the soil. Should I add more soil to avoid root problems? And also the water drains down there and quickly runs downhill π9mo ago

Air Temp in Tend from Top to bottom 23.1 to 23.9 so homogeneous
I measured the earth and its 17.5 C
mind you on the top side which is moist
I have 2 heaters,55 watts each that run at night and keep the temperature in the tent at 19.5C

Maintaining the soil pHI give pH'ed water, never more than 800ppm and I still always end up with lockouts. I used to not give water untill runoff but now I do. What to do after testing the runoff? Did I need to size up to larger rockwool cubes?Geminated seeds in 1x1x1 rockwool cubes. End state is to be in 5 gallon buckets with 8" net pot and clay pebbles. I figured the roots are too small to reach all the way into water solution still so put small cubes into 4x4x4 rockwool. Did I need to use larger cubes?4y ago

How many and how large plants in a 4x2 tent for a quick veg/flowering?How many plants could I have in a 4x2 tent? I would like to reduce veg and flowering time, so would that mean I should go for more plants? I've got 3x 11 liter / 3 gallon Gronest fabric pots and can get more pots.
