Ok .... No answer from a technician ... I put the clay on the bottom of the fabric vase ...He can't hurt them😘

Soil recommendation? Typically use Fox Farms Happy Frog but price keeps going up and quality seems much lower, lots of sticks, not mixed well etcIs there any soil recommendations anyone can make that are good but a less pricey? Dont get me wrong, I love Fox Farm’s, and 38/bag isnt terrible. I’m just curious if anyone has found a more mainstream soil that’s as good of soil. Drastic rise in ppm using top drip in hydrotonHey... i am having a problem with my top drip on hydroton (week 1). My ppm rises dramatically over a day and a half. Im talking 300ppm to 800ppm.
Hydroton has been rinsed well before use. I have run dwc and rdwc before in hydroton without any problems. Anyone have an idea?

I got a dehumidifier to regulate and keep the humidity in 50%.
When i opend the deposit of the water of the dehumifier i found these little flies that are the classic Substrate fly (nasty but no harm).
Do yall think that the dehumidifier got them? Has this even happened to U6y ago

Mixing soils???I’m about to plant some autos and I’m short a bit of soil I was planning on using. I have some Kryptonight aprox 3gallon and a mix of fox farm happy frog/ocean Forrest.
I was thinking of mixing the 3 and spreading it between 3 3gallon pots. Anyone see any problems??Setup. Substrates

Can you please tell me if the sides need to be covered with earth?When I covered the soil in the beginning it wasn't like that, but after waterings the soil shrunk and now there is space between the pot fabric and the soil. Should I add more soil to avoid root problems? And also the water drains down there and quickly runs downhill 😞

I measured the earth and its 17.5 C
mind you on the top side which is moist
