Hello You can definitely use an HPS for both veg and flowering, just like you can use MH for both. However if you happen to have a ballast that is interchangeable and can take both styles it would be preferable to use MH for veg because of the spectrum and HID for flowering because of it's spectrum. But you can easily get amazing results with just 1 or the other with an entire grow. Just make sure to have a decent sized grow space and some good exhaust system. Happy growing. ✌️

Hey, there are mixed bulbs on the market that are valid for both growth and flowering. However, the best would be MH for growth and HPS for flowering. There are also people who do everything with HPS or MH. The advantage of doing everything with MH is that having UV rays forces the plant to produce more resin, but the final weight will be lower. The best for you would be a mixed bulb.

Yes you can! The benefit to vegging under MH bulbs is helps the plants to not stretch so much in veg. The light spectrum is closer to spring. The HPS light spectrum is closer to autumn. Contrary to that you can also flower under MH and I have heard of good results from this so don't stress too much. 👊

HPS for both is fine, just be sure that the small plants aren't too close that they might get a burn..
