I don’t know about stem splitting but cooler temperatures help bring out the purples

Hello ! About stems spliting you seems to have done great, take a look at that link and maybe it will inspire you if you want to continue in that way 👉 https://www.instagram.com/savagedwc 👈. You can put your girl in the dark before harvest but 2 days is not enough to get the full potential of that method , 2 days will only delay your harvest from...2 days , if you really wanna do it then do it more than 3 days (4 at least) , but keep in mind that you need to keep the humidity low and a constant airflow to avoid any mold issue on your buds. Now concerning the purple colour you will have more chance to get it with a 16°C to 18°C temperature than by adding cold water in your soil , I don't know if it can induce the purple colour but it could shock your roots and slow your last flowering days , I would no recommend it but maybe I'm wrong. I hope it will help you 😁👍

So the stem splitting technique is controversial on one hand folks sayen that it basically tricks the plant into producing more terpenes. Thing is terpenes are a very sensitive thing and other things could negate that for example too much light etc. Another thing folks do is 2 - 3 days no light for the terpenes... again though, anything over 24h dark and it could mess up your plant. What other people say is that nothing you can really do at the end of your grow to really make a significant difference to weight or taste. I used to be convinced by the first group now i'm more leaning towards the second group because there's very little evidence to say that stem splitting is worthwhile at all. My two cents, see closer to the time, but you probably want to avoid stem splitting or more than 24h in the dark when it's time to cut ! 🚀

Clipping off your water leaves is alright, whether earlier on to get away the small useless stuff or light sapping big leaves, or right before harvest getting fan leaves off will make trimming/drying etc. Much easier. Happy cutting ✌️🌱🌞
