Am starting flower and was wondering how to do the sun tan effect without burning to bring out color. Should I drop my flowering light down from 18in to 14 in the last hour of the day then back up to 18 after rest the last two weeks of flower? Or is my guess completely off?

Sun tan effect, skip that. Sounds like shit. Buy few UV bulbs and whip some ultra violet radiation for plants now and then. Even easier is to grow right, do the basics and a lot of trichome rich, potent buds will he produced that way 👍

Are you talking about when the plant start to fade to autumn/fall colors? If so that’s more towards the end of harvest when your in flush causing the plant to use up any left over nutrients. You definitely can lower the temp to get a coloring going on but just make sure you don’t drop to low slowing your growth. But to be honest I’m really confused with the sun tan effect 🤔

Hi there! I have never heard about this sun tan effect. What is the purpose of that? I think that if you give right amount of light during the day, you should not need to adjust the height every day. I'm not sure if you just want something pure cosmetics then it might be different story. Colder temps and especially colder nights brings out the purple colors btw.
