If the plants are growing too close to the lights and stretching hasn't slowed down yet I'd recommend super cropping the lengthy branches or using some form of lst to tie tall branches down...
From what I understand,, using these methods along with defoliation actually benefits the plant in the early stages of flowering causing it to release more of the flowering hormones ie. increasing bud growth and trichome production.. because it basically tricks the plant into thinking it's being eaten by a deer as it would be in the wild and then in turn the plants survival mechanism kicks in to reach sexual maturity in order to reproduce faster...
So imo,, I wouldn't stress about these methods creating problems for the plant.. Just super crop those branches reaching dangerously close to the light and you should be good to go,, maybe it'll even increase your yield at the end!!
