1. Use a solid color background if possible.
2. Try to capture the plant in full view, not in parts.
3. ff 0.7-2.8 is good for macro. ff 2.8-5.9 will nicely show a top view (if you have a flat bud carpet). ff 5.9-11 is suitable for full-height bud photos.
4. By reversing the lens - using an adapter, you can achieve super macro without using macro rings and magnifying glasses.
5. For high shutter speed photos, use a tripod. If you don't have a tripod, increase the sensitivity to the highest quality possible, the shutter speed will decrease.
