I've read a bit on the different techniques people use to promote more growth as the plant gets bigger and was wondering if I should be doing the same. Would just love some clarification here as some people are saying to leave it alone, while others are saying the opposite.

Cannabis is a canvas. Don't be afraid to make mistakes.. you might just grow ;) All plants on my page are autoflowers, and none of them would be as they are, if un-trained... Plan for the best scenario.. a healthy plant is barely affected by stress. For a first time grow, I recommend to not train, so that you can see the progression of improvement gained by learning to train your plant for more main-colas. Feel free to ask me anything. Happy growing!

Auto flowers and photoperiods react differently- which is why you are probably hearing two different things. Autos don’t handle stress well, it stunts them and keeps your harvests small. LST is the only thing I’d recommend Photos one the other had are in the vegetative state longer, and can therefor handle and recover better from the stresses of topping, fim’ing and the like. Hope this helps. Happy Growing 🌱
