Mid week 4 was getting very over crowded with all the foliage done a last minute change around in tent and a big defoliation to get the light to bud sites not as full on now buds are getting fatter Finnished stretch hopefully taking nearly 3L a day first time grower

Should I cut fan leaves (autoflowering)?I have this Dinafem auto (first grow ever). A friend told me to cut all the fan leaves and bottom branches. His claim is that the buds that these branches yield are too small and it is more productive to make the plant focus its energy on the top buds. What do you think? Thanks!

Week 7 SCROG vs Defoliation question I'm in the middle of week 6 of flower, both strains are expected to finish at 8 or 9 weeks. Plants are crowded. Buds aren't as big as I was expecting. I'm not sure if I should leave the SCROG canopy to boost the crowns, or defoliate to get more light to the lower bud sites.

Pruning lower growth I read that in maximizing yield you trim off the lowest two set of branches. I am growing my plant horizontally to accumulate more budsites without the use of topping until I have the desired amount of branches. Is it safe to remove the lower two sets of branches?
