Hi, Plants respond to exposure to both UVA and UVB light; different plants respond in different ways, but in general studies have shown increased production of antioxidants / flavonoids and other natural sunscreen compounds in a process called photomorphogenesis. UVA light alone can increase THC and CBD production in Cannabis plants. The combination of UVA and UVB light (from a standard "reptile bulb" fluorescent light) also increases THC and CBD production, but the inclusion of UVB in the light has noticeable detrimental effects on plant growth compared to only UVA. Best thing to do is do a little bit of research of your own just to clarify. Wouldn't want to be giving you the wrong information. 😀

Supposedly UVB helps with trichromes productions. I believe super high temps can be a destruction of terpenes however. I think its really multiple factors to consider when boosting the terpenes or trichs...strongest light(uvb not uva), heat and humidity. And of coarse genetics and nutrients, can't leave those out.

Yes. the addition of UV-B light can indeed increase the THC production up to 28% more compared to a plant that was not subjected to that kind of light.
