Sweet ZZ auto from RQS. Plant smelled great. Had aphid infestation month ago. Sweet smell changed to no smell/ compost smell. Washed aphids off with plain water. Every fan leaf died. turned yellow/ purple. Buds still fattening, but weird smell. Not ready for harvest & no bud rot.

The plant is doing fine. Let me explain what happened! The plant emits a scent to attract insects that could pollinate it! This is a natural life process, and the plant is initially aimed at pollination! It smells and attracts. Often, the plant has 2 scents and can change them depending on the situation. Or it can completely block the scent, trying to breathe less through the pores of its leaves. For example, the plant attracted insects, and instead of a bee or butterfly, an aphid or thrips or some other parasite crawled in. The plant, sensing the attack from the parasite, activates a different scent that attracts predatory insects, small birds, and spiders. If the attack is too strong or prolonged and the plant experiences too much stress and anxiety, it may block its leaf pores with its terpenes to eliminate the scent and attract anyone! This is its defensive reaction to strong stimuli, bro! It stopped smelling, but it's just as "tasty" inside! πŸ‘Œ Good luck, bro! βœŠπŸ˜‡

They tend to get a little less stinky nearing harvest but no worries, shell be stinky and sticky when finished. My crop is getting a little less stinky in there now but I took some bottom bud and trimmed up yesterday. My wife thought there was a skunk around lmao. Cheers friend
