Calyx and trichome development

So just a general question I guess. Anybody ever had just the lower calyxes on your flowers swell and form more trichome where as the top half of the bud that receives the most light doesn't? I think it has a lot to due with sub tropical heat and humidity

I think maybe I worded the question wrong but more referring to very top quarter of all buds in general. I never have this issue indoors but outside in lower Alabama I always have pistols exposed to direct sun get burnt tips and less trichome production and calyx swelling. Been trying to keep an eye on leaf surface temp but im a busy man.

The top of the kola will be last to finish, some harvest as the lowers or just wait until the whole plant is showing its ready. Happy growing!

Sometimes bottom buds ripen before the top buds. Just take the bottom buds first. Cheers friend

New Trichome Pictures of Calyx and Pistils.Okay, so my apologies for the pictures of sugar leaves. Here is a new set of pictures from today, June 10, 2022. I only used two colas, and only recorded the calyx and some pistils. I think she needs a little longer??? Thank you for your opinion.

Still unsure whether or not I should harvest my Magnum, please find a few photos attached from the calixes and hairs, don't know if the trichomes are ready enough. Also plant was supposed to be ready on week 12, we're at week 16...

Sun tan effect?Am starting flower and was wondering how to do the sun tan effect without burning to bring out color. Should I drop my flowering light down from 18in to 14 in the last hour of the day then back up to 18 after rest the last two weeks of flower? Or is my guess completely off?Week 7

How long to go? ( /-). Buds healthy? Short pistils?How long will those buds have to go? Were halfway week 4 now but seller claims flowercycle of 6 weeks. I dont think i will make that. Bought 40w led light for bad weather days. Arent the pistils too short? Some already turning bit brownish. Buds already seem a bit swelling though

White Bud TopsPainkiller F36. The upper colas' tops turned white (don't mean the hairs, it's clean white bud parts). I heard this happens when some strains get to close to the light. I don't mind it, but is there any downside to this and do these white parts stay white during drying?
