How do trichomes work?

Sugar leave showmtrichsmfirst and the trichs turn on them first. Pistols dont create as much trichs as their to receive the pollen from the males. The calyxes, were the pistols pop out of is what you want to look at for your trichs turning amber. Cheers friend

ok with the trichomes, each strain is different, as some produce more and some less, they are there those things are real small and hard to see with the naked eye, what i recommend is get a coin magnifier, like ebay for under 10 bucks, it is one of the best investments you can have, i have had strains that at 3 weeks in flower were all over, i have had strains that you cant see much until later in flower, it does not mean they are not there though, they are there, they are on the flower site on the leaves and even the stalk, i know that some auto strains though produce them later and like i said even some are like wow. give it time and look close with a magnifier you will be surprised at the hidden world that is there that you can only see using magnification. the tris form as part of the plant to protect the plant from harmful light waves, these little guys slowly fill up as the plant ages and comes close to the end of the life cycle. some strains you can see with the naked eye and some are good weed but do not have a high count of tris, good autos to run for trichome production, in my opinion dinafem haze xxl, white widow xxl, even methphisto genetics are great, some of fastbuds strains, vison has a good auto northern lights that is pretty nice as well. i know there are more places that have high producing resin strain that are breed just for that purpose, dont worry though i am sure they are starting on the skunk you have now
