Have you ever seen a correlation between smell and taste ?

Hello I think often times the smell and taste are connected...but everyones idea of what tastes good is different, so you may be a citrus person while someone else loves a skunky flavor...but they both still smell great. I do however believe there's a connection between taste and nutrients...so ive become more proactive in my flushing at least for a couple days because I've had buds with great smell but an awful taste because of nutrients and sugars being trapped in the buds.
