I am looking for advice to get rid of aphids. Currently using doctor doom 3 in 1 ( pyrethrin). Two days after treatment I still see aphids. Prior to using this I used insecticidal soap. I have used one treatment of each about 4 days apart. Thanks in advance.

A good solid spray down with a decent pressure garden hose will fuck up a ton of em and really help push them back. Spinosad is probably ur best weapon... but incredibly hard to find in canada as of legality. If you live elsewhere should be able to scoop it up easily. Combination of entire plant treatment of spinosad a couple times.... and those down a couple times. They should have met their match! Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Get yourself some ladybugs!! I cannot praise them enough. You can buy these online (Amazon even, pay for the expedited shipping!) They arrive frozen. Chill them in the fridge in their box til nighttime and let them out. Do yourself a favor and build a small little nest for them (really small tented area with nectar or moistened raisins) you want them to stay and breed - the young lady bugs are the hungriest. I've effectively used ladybugs 2 or 3 years now to rid myself of an aphid infestation in my roses and my vegetable garden. Once the aphids are gone they move on in search of more food, I consider it a public service to my fellow neighborhood gardeners.

Hello. My best and fastest approach is with my fingers. I get into the plant, up to the elbows if need be. Squish anything you can see and feel. Yes it's a little gross feeling, but they are eating your baby. so SQUISH THEM. The female aphid walks onto your plant pregnant, and they have a 3 day maturation rate after birth. You can use whatever spray after you squish them. You don't just squish the adults you also mess up the eggs. You might dislodge the eggs or even squish them. If you dislodge a adult feeding aphid, you have just broken its mouth or sucker. Even if it lives it can't suck anymore. Rinse with water after, leave to dry, then spray with your choice of stuff. But if you do a good job squishing you will have killed 85% to 95% of them. Good Luck. Chuck.
