Hey guys I was going through the growdiaries , and was comparing plants that were similar to mine in age. I see that even though its week 4 of flower. Just staring to form pistils , but most I saw at week 4 had decent bud structure. Do you think it's ok to flower slowly?

Well i put them to flower after 5 weeks of vegging. At that time I din see any signs of sex or any pistils when I put them to flower. Also I found out that I was having some light leaks, so maybe they extended vegging. Thanks for yhe answers guys. I only hope that I won't loose any yields, and they grow to their full potential.

Look at diaries of the same genetics from the same breeder. If you are comparing different strains, its apples to oranges. Different growers also have different concepts of when flowering begins. With some it's when the sex first shows. With others, it's when pistils appear in abundance. For me, it's when the stretch begins. You could consider that preflower, but it's definitely through the veg phase. You could have a 2-3 week difference on these points alone, so try not to worry too much. Make sure you have switched to bloom nutes which are more P/K and less N. This will encourage bud development.

4 weeks is a long time to just " start forming pistils". But also not unheard of. If a plant has not hit maturity it wont flower even under 12 hour lighting until its hit maturity. Like a plant started under 12/12 aka 12/12 from seed.... plant wont flower until its mature enough to do so ... even if it's under only 12 hours light. Every plant has a different age to hit that maturity level. A plant that's older and been held back in veg for s long time.... long past age of msturity. They can also again take longer to make the transition. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

It will be fine. :) Some diaries may not be added right at day one, and some seeds may just behave differently. My current chocodope auto didn’t flower until week 7, and she’s coming along nicely now.

Does this mean I'll be loosing yields, or the plants will mature at the right time.?
