your best bet is a cheap desktop microscope , just pluck whatever biomass you want to analyse. you never need much , and the plant recovers anyway. alas it's just too difficult for handhelds if you're a bit shaky. Hope this helps ! 🚀

a usb based digital handheld microscope ... cut off a really tiny sample with something clean and sharp .. lightly place the sample on your desk, put the microscope on top of the sample, sit back, zoom enjoy the view, take pictures ... you can get a decent one for ~
