Some strains pistils change colour early while the trichs still not mature, it's a rule of thumb and a good indicator that your on the last leg but you would be better taking the trichs into consideration too. Magnify the trichs, clear trichs aren't ready, cloudy trichs more head high, amber trichs more body stone. You can harvest all cloudy, ratio of cloudy to amber or mostly amber, your choice but check regularly because after amber they start to lose potency.
