How far can my 600w HPS light be and still result in good growth?

Without an air cooled hood the light to canopy distance should be between 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm)

Heya!
a 600W I would say should be no further than 20" away during flower. That would be around 700par according to most 600W HPS manufacturers.
Lowest I would go is 12" with gooood ventilation.

Now that I'm late flower, should I move my autos into a spot that will get shade for half of the day? qu'elle est le plus important à prendre en compte le nombre de lux ou le PPFD/DLIlux, ppfd et dli. en faisant j'ai réalisé qu'il était dur d'avoir un ppfd entre 500 et 1000 pour la phase plantule sans dépasser les fameux 7000lux on approchent plutôt les 25000lux si on veux atteindre le ppfd souhaitable pour cette phase. comment faite vous?Setup. Growing out instead of up.Please help out! I moved it into a new pot and topped it last week as suggested.
Also new ViparSpectra light at 45cm away @80% power.
Nutrients/food yet to arrive.
It seems to just be growing out instead of up, and starting to see some white/ burnt looking spots.
