Increase of Terpene production of my indoor plant (Indoor no cannabis smell, with growing buds)

Folks, how can I increase terpene production and enhance the aroma of my indoor cannabis plant, which currently has larger flowers but lacks the noticeable smell observed of my outdoor plant? Or is it normal normal as the plants have different conditions and stress level?

Give time, plants looking very healthy, so you cant get what genetics cant offer. Relax ;) they should start to stink/smell soon.

much like others have said. not a lot can help it. Not overwatering it and giving it undue stress can help it produce more. Cold temps for sure less evaporation of the volatile aromas and lots of light as it need it to build more terps and grow. I find some plant will not have that much of a smell but it will then come out more in a cure as it has time to mature in the jar. Good Luck!

I think it's normal. Besides, if you could get your bigger plant outside you would notice that smell is stronger than the one that you used to in grow space.

Terpene like myrecene start to degrade above 67, Soon as my plant moves Into full terpene production , my temps are reduced, radiation is what decays the trichomes, heat is a big part of that degradation. Find balance between pushing dli but preserving those beautiful creamy , cannabis I find is a game of inches, nothing will drastically make mega weed, but 12 inches make a foot. Baby steps.

Removal of 660nm during final ripening has been shown to be the trigger for the plant to begin to create more flavinoids/smell. WHY? SURVIVAL of the species, sensimilla, the need for polination. In nature if the plant was still unpollinated once the sky reached a point "winter" blues. Plant accelerates production in order to attract pollination from potential wildlife from further afield. There is a catch, the plant releases the good stuff through the stomata on the back of leafs by attaching it to a h2o particle as a by-product of cellular transpiration. Doing this. By reducing rh below 20 and holding it there, this forces the stomata closed using aba so none of the accumulated smell can be released. More Information see chapter 7,8,9 on my diaries. Pretty hard to achieve, but it works regardless.

there may be things that you can do that have smalle effects, but nothign you can do will polish a turd. Not sayign this plant is a turd, but the idea that you can have that much influence is just false. late in flower oyu can reduce RH and this should increase trichomes, but if genetics are weak, there's not much you can do. There may be a measurable impact, but that doesn't mean it is a large impact. same with UV or increasing temps higher than they should be etc.. these stresses will not turn a weak plant into a strong one in regard to terpenese or potency etc. not smelling now does not mean it won't have a strong smell when you harvest. So, don't be all doom and gloom about it. It's probably fine. Agitate the plant a bit and i bet it smells up the room (just gently jiggle it a bit). I'd say it's a good guess that it relates to stress for sure as well as potential genetic difference -- lots of cause for variety. you have far more ability to reduce quality from potential than any ability to go above genetic potential... meaning, what we do is mostly not stepping on our own dicks or flaps and not so much doing anythign amazing or unique that causes a better outcome. Keep it healthy. Keep it happy. Genetics is king. If you want better outcomes, find better genetics.

I would say that to increase terpenes you have to keep that temperature between 20-25 C. But other than that there isn’t much you can do to increase the terpene output. Development of terpenes and flavour profiles will be more down to how you cure your buds after harvest. I think you just have to accept your plant for what it is and let it do its thing. It still looks fairly early in the flowering process. It may just not be an overly stinky genetic.
