Since I'm moving in a month or two I'm gonna buy a new light for vertical growing for celebration! I'm still going to use the 80x80 but I'll have some space in a separate room, more comfy.. Which light is better for a vertical grow?

growing weed in a vertical way...it is against how this plant grows. for sure you can do it, cannabis is highly adaptable, but the yields will be...very small. If you have a small space, try to learn and master the horizontal grow. Learn how to do some proper mainlining and a ScrOG and this will increase your yield. Vertical grow in 80x80 really not the best solution. You want bud site, not branches and leaves. CFLs are cute but need to be really close to the flowers (around 20-25 cm) and have not enough power in them and they emit lots of heat as well. Plants will be stretchy and buds will be airy. Go after led lights in that space.

I like fluorescent grow lights for this personally. I feel you get much better coverage with a vertical fluorescent bulb.

Hey Mate, To me is the only way it make sense if you have bulbs hanging downwards in a row. Similar to your first drawing. You have to be careful, the ladies need a stable lightsource which always comes from the same dieection. If the ladies get light from different directions they get stressed and stunt, or turn hermie. Already had this exact situation last year. Bought 2 Sanlight Flex 10 and thought the more light, the better...🤯 All 4 plants went hermie... From the 3rd week of bloom, when stretch is over it doesn't matter where the lights comin' from.. from this point they concentrate on budding up. Good luck for the rest of the way🤘👍 Cheerz OimRausch

Are these calyxes or do I have a herm?I'm noticing these on my plant. They all have pistols coming out of them so I don't think they're pollen sacs. I did find some pistols have changed orange this morning but it could be a fan that was blowing on them (yeah, I know I gotta fix that). 1st grow so I'm concerned.

noticed my air flow was cut off for 12 hrs. input and output and fan inside. risk of mold growing from this? watered hrs before it happened so pretty moist. or maybe they will be complete fine? noticed the air flow had stopped because I could smell the stale air.

Green sulfer bacteria question During my last experiment have cultured green sulfur bacteria. I usually just toss it when this happens... but I have a gallon of it are there any benefits of using it in my garden? I can't seem to see any solid research articles about green sulfer bacteria in the garden.

How do you measure soil pH ?I have an electronic pH meter that I use on water or feed water just before watering. This seems accurate. But how do you manage to know the pH of your soil. I also have an 3in1 ground tester (Humidity, enlightenment an pH). pH is always at 8 with this method. Is it accurate ?

I have some autoflowers (almost) at harvest time. Need advise on partial harvesting Their main colas are still making a last effort (some new white pistils, water consumption is ok-ish, leaves look healthy) However, the side stalks and lower portion of the plant have had yellowing leaves and all brown pistils for 2+ weeks now. Do I partially harvest or wait?
