How long does it take from the stage my plant is at now until I harvest? I know what to generally look for (milky triches) but should I continue nutes at this stage or start my flush? Some lower yellowing leaves and the very tips turning yellow, only had nutes twice in 2 weeks.

Hey Bertabud, you're right to look for milky trychomes that's the only way to tell ! just a reminder you want to get a magnifier at least 40x and preferably 60x for comfort in order to see them. That's really the only way to tell, another good way to tell is simply to add 2 weeks to the recommended time from the breeder. So if the breeder says 10 weeks, then it will be 12 for sure ! Finally what i can say is that harvest for dark devil auto usually take 10 to 13 weeks, so you'll be ready in 3 to 5 weeks - basically last month ! That means wait another week at least before flushing. The yellowing is totally natural, but the burnt tips are a sign of nute excess, so cut the nutrients by half and respect the water - water - feed - water - water - feed schedule. You're almost there my friend, good luck ! 🚀

Nice question Bertabud! You will definitely want to continue using nutrients for a few more weeks until about 1 week before harvest time. She has some time left in her to bulk up dont you worry! If you are looking for a cheap microscope to check out the trichomes I found this one I'm using for 12$ on amazon and its fantastic! https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Microscope-MM-300-x/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1544530210&sr=8-3&keywords=handheld+microscope

Hello ! You will harvest around week 12 so you need to flush around week 10. Your lower leaves are yellowing : maybe a N deficiency. You have 3 weeks from now to feed her correctly or heavily before harvest. If you have a PK boost use it now to makes the buds swell. I hope it will help you 😁✌️🏼

Hi @Bertabud! Pistils can be a clue, if you noticed that new pistils have stopped appearing and old pistils have almost all turned red/brown and curly, but the best way to ensure it's the right time is to look at the trichomes with a magnifier/microscope. Clear/Transparent/Thin trichomes mean it's too soon, Milky/Cloudy/Fat trichomes mean the harvest window is open, Amber trichomes mean the harvest window is ending, and THC is degrading (less THC, more CBD/CBN). Looking at your last pictures, I think you're 3 to 4 weeks away from harvest, those buds can still fatten up and produce more resin. I'd recommend keep on feeding for 10-15 days then proceed to flush for 10-15 days (with plain pH'd water), depending on the trichome's evolution. As long as most of the trichomes have turned from clear and thin to fat and milky you know the 'harvest window' is open, even if you don't see any amber. Harvesting too soon (too many clear trichs) will result in a uplifting/energetic effect but you will lose some terpenes & oil potential. Waiting longer (too many amber trichs) will result in a heavy stone/couchlocking effect. Check out some other diaries of this strain on GD, most of the growers had to push her betweek 9 and 12 weeks. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊
