Can I use a 100mm carbon filter on a 125mm exhaust?

So, the title is pretty straightfoward.
I was thinkin about getting some 127mm extraction tubes and make it really tight to fit the filter.

Yeah should not be a problem, you can just use a Pipe Fan Connection Reducer 100 mm / 125 mm between the exhaust and filter

Grow Tent/Room setup in the basement - dehumidifier or humidifier needed?I’m planning a small grow setup in my basement and have a room that’s holding a steady 17–18 °C (62–64 °F) with about 55–58% relative humidity. My plan is to vent the exhaust from the grow box straight outside through an existing duct. Will I need a de- or humidifier?

What air temp and RH should i be trying to acheive for flowering?What should i be trying to acheive with RH and air temp for flower stage. How crucial is an exhaust fan and a carbon filter?I cant find anything in my country as a kit, but would buying them piece by piece work?
Example something like in the photo connected to an air duct and then to a carbon filter?
Or if the exhaust fan is not crucial? how can i get rid of the smell in a cheaper way?
