Are these boy-parts or future bud sites?

I've looked at other diaries of the same strain and it seems like they future bud sites but I really don't like their shape. I have a confirmed female of a different strain growing next to it and I need to find out soon. Please help!

@NobodysBuds when you say "(males) project out on a twig" you mean that it's "a sack" held by a little branch/twig and not like that-directly connected to the stem, if got you right, correct?

oh.. if any project out on a twig, it is male.. but as of now they look like a bract in the axilla.
