Quantum board vs led bars

Boards get a little hot in the middle while bars do not have this issue. This is because there is much more airflow in bars, so it gets less heated. With less heat, that also means you can get the lights closer to your canopy. Boards are usually 2ft or so to canopy, bars can go closer. In the end, depends on it space and what you're trying to get out of it. Just know that boards get a little bit warmer than bars -- consider that with the environment you're growing in.

Well if both lights are same in terms of power output and ppf over a certain space, then it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish with the light in your given space. There is no concrete answer as to what’s better because that all depends on the specific growers need. Personally since I grow in a 4x4 tent a quantum board works perfect to save on space, heat, and efficiency.

I think it is more about what you want from the light. In a given situation there is always a prefered option but i assume you want a light that will do both cycles? The space you need to light becomes a factor the spread needed. I think that every space has its own needs. The space should be built and the light chosen to fit the space. If you get a light first then you are building the space to suit that. Having usable PPF over the entire space is more important then brand type or which one is best. I hope that makes sense.
